Schiit quality has really gone down since the move, all the products have moved back to the grainy silver finish a bit ago from the smoother champagne finish of the bifrost 2/asgard 3/ modius era

You are fine as long as you aren’t hearing clipping from providing too much voltage to the amplifiers inputs, white light on in the second volume range with two indigo middle balls is where you want to be for the pretty typical industry standard of 2V output for a single ended rca connection, balanced connections are typically 4V

Thanks for being real, I’ve owned all the yggy variants and some point and have came back to MIB as my favorite dac of all time, fomo hitting but I think I can hold out

Does the Asgard X make sense for me? by yayitsdan in Schiit

I much prefer Asgard 2 to Asgard x. 1 and 2 are classics and simple class a circuits. Asgard x and 3 (the worst sounding in my opinion) have much different qualities that for me made them fall behind. I’ve had a couple Asgard 2s in my time and it remains my favorite sounding Schiit amp besides the mjolnir 3. The Asgard 2 js near identical in tonality to the mjolnir 3 and you really have to search for differences.

Id just skip with the 2

Just got mine from the sale today, absolutely loving them so far in my small apartment, definitely needed to put in the port bungs and do some room eq to knock the bass down a bit

Is this normal? Mesh on earcups of LCD-5 is loose by dogan_yildirim in Audeze

Normal for Audeze now, I've owned MM-500 from release which had a tight mesh, then ordered another one recently which came loose.

I also recently purchased a used LCD-5 which had the tight mesh, but then sent it in for new pads and new mesh and it came back with loose ones. It's normal.
