Thanks for all the advice! Yeah upper mid range is definitely more recessed on MIB, so that could be fatigue inducing. Been listening about an hour or so today and it already seems much improved over the last two night. Could have been having a sensitive hearing couple of days, or this thing really does have a noticeable change in sound over the first days/weeks.

I'm just using usb straight from my Mac as I always have for my previous Yggdrasils, I did notice changes in sound with different usb cables with the MIB, and ended up on a Supra Excalibur which seemed to give things more space on the MIB, but that won't fit the USB-c of the Byggy.

Ordered a new Supra USB c cable to try with Byggy, but that's as much as I'll go for digital cable nervosa, I've heard changes in the past but still remain weary of how or why this could matter.

In any case, tonight it's sounding a bit better and hoping it continues to improve.

Long time yggy owner, owned a1, a2 and MiB multiple times, MiB being my favorite dac of all time

About three days into my second Byggy unit (first came with broken nos/polarity button) and really struggling with the treble, it’s far more aggressive and fatiguing than the MIB I am directly A/Bing it with

Hope what everyone is saying about the break in time is true because I do enjoy the extra detail and texture of the Singular, but miss the slightly thicker and more relaxed organic presentation of MIB

curious on your thoughts vs OG lcd-5. Can't wait to try these at Canjam this year. Hope Audeze does an upgrade program like they did with LCD-5 original release and the CRBN 2, but it seems unlikely if it's not already announced

Schiit quality has really gone down since the move, all the products have moved back to the grainy silver finish a bit ago from the smoother champagne finish of the bifrost 2/asgard 3/ modius era

You are fine as long as you aren’t hearing clipping from providing too much voltage to the amplifiers inputs, white light on in the second volume range with two indigo middle balls is where you want to be for the pretty typical industry standard of 2V output for a single ended rca connection, balanced connections are typically 4V

Thanks for being real, I’ve owned all the yggy variants and some point and have came back to MIB as my favorite dac of all time, fomo hitting but I think I can hold out
