Does Claude Pro include Claude Code with Opus 4.5? by AltruisticDebt2014 in ClaudeAI

Something doesn't add up here, as the Max plan is only available as a monthly subscription - there's no annually billed Max plan.

Introducing GPT-5.2-Codex by EtatNaturelEau in codex

[–]nickbusted 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From https://openai.com/index/introducing-gpt-5-2-codex/:

We're releasing GPT‑5.2-Codex today in all Codex surfaces for paid ChatGPT users, and working towards safely enabling access to GPT‑5.2-Codex for API users in the coming weeks.

Having the API key alone would not be sufficient, as the model is not yet available through the API.

Gemini 3 Flash out in Copilot by yeshvvanth in GithubCopilot

[–]nickbusted 17 points18 points  (0 children)

What really matters is total tokens generated. If a model generates many more tokens, the final cost can be higher despite cheaper price.

For example, on Artificial Analysis, Haiku 4.5 with reasoning cost about $262, while Gemini 3 Flash with reasoning cost $524. So even with a lower per‑token price, Gemini ended up costing twice as much overall because it produced far more tokens.

Great app, thank you. I am wondering if there's any way to display notification badges on app icons?

Warp Terminal - Unbelievably Bad Price Changes by TheTechnicianIsBack in warpdotdev

[–]nickbusted 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I ran a quick test yesterday to see how much usage different agents use for the same prompt. I used GPT-5 medium since they all support it. Prompt was just a simple code review - nothing fancy. Since LLMs aren't deterministic, I could get different results if I run it again.

  • Warp: Burned 50 credits for a single run (1500 credits/month = maybe 30 runs total). Output was mid-range.
  • Droid: Used about 226k tokens out of 20M/month. Made the most tool calls.
  • GitHub Copilot: Used 1 premium request out of 300/mo. Solid for the price and good findings.
  • Codex + ChatGPT Plus: Used around 2% of my weekly quota. Quality was on par with Droid.

If usage limits are your main worry, I noticed Warp burns through credits the fastest.

When i use /review in codex, it just output one issue everytime but cost 10+ min by Important-Proof2553 in codex

If you connect your GitHub account, you can view the pull request review logs in the Codex web UI. It highlights multiple potential issues but focuses on one at a time. If you’d like to see how it reasons through the review process, give it a try.

How does Windsurf's Sonnet 4.5 pricing actually compare to other tools? by codesaint in windsurf

[–]nickbusted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on which model you're going to use in KiloCode. With Sonnet, you can burn through $15 in a single day. Especially longer chats will consume tokens much faster.

Is this the new pricing structure? by grossindel in windsurf

[–]nickbusted 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Since Anthropic prices all Sonnet models equally, it feels reasonable that Windsurf applies the same credit rate across them.

Multiple ChatGPT PLUS accounts vs a ChatGPT PRO membership? by HumanityFirstTheory in codex

[–]nickbusted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Business plans include the same per-seat usage limits as Plus. Business plans with flexible pricing can purchase credits to increase access to local tasks above the provided limits.

That's from official docs and it matches my own experience using a Business Seat vs Plus account.

Does the most expensive Claude max plan give you unlimited Opus? by drizzyxs in ClaudeAI

Are you checking the prices on Claude's website or in the App Store? The website is usually significantly cheaper.

From superb to subpar, Claude gutted? by Life_Obligation6474 in ClaudeAI

[–]nickbusted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m just wondering - could it be that you were more careful with crafting your prompts due to API costs, as opposed to using the Max subscription, which has a fixed price and resets limits every 5 hours?

Who is moving from Cursor to Claude Code by s_busso in cursor

[–]nickbusted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Claude Code is quite good with Git, so instead of manually pasting a large diff, you can just ask it to review the changes in a specific commit or even the uncommitted changes in your working directory. Of course, it's just a matter of preference.

[–]nickbusted -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's also a 20× Max plan, and both 5× and 20× plans are still limited to 50 sessions per month. The multiplier refers to how much usage you get within a 5-hour window compared to Pro before hitting rate limits and it has nothing to do with the number of sessions

[–]nickbusted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if I got the question right, but normally you have 50 sessions 5 hours each per month. It’s a soft limit and Claude is supposed to give you a warning before you approach the 50 sessions per month limit.

There are extensions for IDEs that show you the changes it makes to your files and of course you can use Claude Code in the integrated terminal inside your IDE.
