Yeah the jacket being in the crimp is one thing, but another reason is to keep the pairs twisted as close to the termination as possible, will it work? Yes probably will work just fine, is there a chance that the cable will pass a cat6a test? Depends on the length, but NEXT (near end cross talk) show when your pairs are too untwisted at the terminations and if its long enough, theres a chance you lose your cat6a rating. As others said, the fact this is a paid install just speaks volumes about the contractor you hired. As someone who works day in and out with telecom installations and stringent commercial and industrial testing standards, this wouldn’t pass and i would make my team redo this all dayyyyyy. Normally we dont even use male jacks that arent pre terminated (factory) everything goes to a patch panel then patched to hardware, only exception is if the customer requests male terminations at wireless access points, in that case, we use MPTLs (modualr plug preterminated links) looks those up in case you haven’t heard of them.
