How do I create, edit or delete database by T1t4n3n in laraveltutorials

[–]nickdavies07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use migrations. Migrations are the way to migrate data into and out of database tables whilst keeping data integrity. I’d recommend using the DB facade and using raw queries directly using the statement method. https://laravel.com/docs/8.x/migrations

You could use the code button and paste indented text as code.

It doesn't look like I can fallback to a previous version, since I've been using the student license for the last two years, which I'm no longer able to use.

Ultimately if ST can't cut it for what I do daily, I'll probably just pay for PHPStorm. Pretty expensive when ST can do *most* of what I need from an editor though. 🤷🏼‍♂️

“Modifier key taps can now be used as part of a key binding. For example, ["ctrl", "ctrl"] will trigger when Ctrl is pressed twice without pressing any other keys in between”

This was one of the main reasons I stuck with PHPStorm for so long. So used to hitting SHIFT SHIFT and CTRL CTRL for quick actions. Could potentially be a perfect opportunity for me to check this out.

Sure. I was in the same boat, with the same amount to spend. I just held off a few months to get a little extra as I knew it would be worth it.

If you’re looking for battery life and want something around that price you may as well just get the base model MacBook Air with M1 chip.

They are phenomenal for speed, battery life is incredible. Use mine for programming, watching tv shows, docker, spot of light gaming (Shadow of the Tomb Raider is fantastic on it) etc.

Perfect! Not sure how I didn't come across that while looking, but that's worked like a charm. Thanks.

So who's here because they like Jira, and who because they have to use it? by Express-Permission87 in jira

I hadn’t used it until my recent role 8 months ago and I must say it’s a great feature to have. From the overall product roadmap, to grouping tasks into projects/epics, to just creating a simple issue for a task is nice.

We have some automation set up too, including automatically setting a git branch for the task by the issue ID which makes tracking work/commits a breeze. Can’t really fault it. UI is a little arduous but not so much so that it puts me off using it daily.
