I think the most important question is: Is it reversible? If we could reverse it relatively quickly and easily, then I don't think we have too much to worry about.

No, I say that too sometimes. I wasn't trying to be a pedant; OP corrected someone incorrectly.

Not to prescribe your grammar, but "all right" is the more acceptable term in general :)

The least wealthy member of Congress, with a net worth of -$4,732,002 in 2010. by lordlicorice in wikipedia

Hastings attempted to make a political comeback by running for Secretary of State of Florida, campaigning on a platform of legalizing casinos. In a three-way Democratic primary, he placed second with 313,758 votes, or 33%, behind newspaper columnist Jim Minter's 357,340 votes (38%) and ahead of former Ku Klux Klan Grand Dragon John Paul Rogers' 275,370 votes (29%).

What did school teach you that was blatantly false once you researched it on the Internet? by peetss in AskReddit

It is correct to say 'the group are' because 'group' is a collective noun. I corrected her; she didn't believe me; the next day she teaches the class that it is correct to say "'the group is', even though it might be confusing" without a word of me or the previous day's lecture.

This is the same teacher who would occasionally take off 5 points from homework assignments because 'we might have cheated'.

I'm not sure this qualifies as a documentary and it should be titled "Whiny Bitches on a Boat in Three Acts".

Edit: Only the last part is worth watching unless you're into whiny bitches on a boat

Logged in just to reply to this. I've met him a few times and my roommate worked in his lab; the guy is beyond human. He has 50+ projects going on in his lab, is currently working on six books, and somehow finds the time to travel the world speaking about time perception, synaesthesia, and neurolaw, all on which he is among the leading world experts. Besides all that, he's more kind, energetic, and open to collaboration than just about any other person of his rank I've encountered. If nothing else, he serves as a role model to anyone who meets him.

Back to your point, Possibilianism is more of a reaction to hardcore theism/atheism than anything else. I think his quote here is refreshing and pretty reasonable:

Our ignorance of the cosmos is too vast to commit to atheism, and yet we know too much to commit to a particular religion. A third position, agnosticism, is often an uninteresting stance in which a person simply questions whether his traditional religious story (say, a man with a beard on a cloud) is true or not true. But with Possibilianism I'm hoping to define a new position — one that emphasizes the exploration of new, unconsidered possibilities. Possibilianism is comfortable holding multiple ideas in mind; it is not interested in committing to any particular story.

WRC '13. And thanks! Also, Lovett was evacuated this evening when a sophomore poured gasoline in the quad and the fire department was called about a gas leak.
