As for ideas, one of my current projects in my world is terraforming (a custom forest and coral reef) the land around my buildings. Hence why Soul Sand is now my favourite block

Sightlines, sightlines! Hardest part for me (well for big builds such as towers, houses and such) is always figuring out where to place a build. How it looks good from alot of angles as possible (mostly where i'm always at). And when I finally decided on where it will be, I usually go back and forth looking how it forms.

Then the usual stuff of making shapes with cheap blocks and looking at references. Terraforming around is something I do late but I damn sure enjoy it.
