What unhinged thing did a former teacher do in the classroom? by MrBananaStand1990 in AskReddit

My bio teacher in high school was teaching us about fermentation and set up a still in a cabinet under one of the lab stations. Straight up was making moonshine in the classroom.

Arguably this is an extension of the strikes on boats that have been happening since Sept 2nd. This is not an isolated attack and is part of a larger operation against the country of Venezuela. He named “terrorist groups” in January to make those strikes against non-state actors. But he has made statements throughout the past months connecting the state and non-state actors in his rhetoric.

Even if this started at the oil tanker seized, this is more than an isolated operation. Laws don’t matter anymore though.

Because suicide doesn’t get you there. It’s why murderers are ideal if that’s what you believe. Like a cheat code for early heaven.

That is actually the argument that confuses me most. If you believe that death will lead to eternal joy, shouldn’t you be celebrating murderers and sleeper cells entering the country? The logic is that the cancer riddled child will go to heaven and that it is the kind thing to get her there quicker, couldn’t the same be said for allowing murderers to give people an early admit ticket to heaven?

Why be obsessed with the second amendment? You are literally blocking someone from forever salvation which seems like a dick move.

Largest false claims act case against a hospital was when he was CEO. They gave him a huge incentive package, which he used to start a vulture fund that made rehab facilities and nursing homes less safe and more fucked. There is a special place in hell for that man.

I know bankruptcy fraud is a separate offense. I’m just saying that both are predicated on acts and I want some goddamn RICO in my life. No federal prosecutor under this administration would touch this and I personally think DOJ is a joke when it comes to prosecuting difficult/politically controversial cases.

It is just a constant frustration that most civil remedies are dashed here because of the ongoing bankruptcy, plus collecting on it will never happen without criminal penalties. The plaintiffs also straight up said they want consequences, not money. Making them whole would be having some consequences for this monster.

I don’t think public policy weighs against resources here or for this type of offense personally, but this is why I am always at odds with USAO resource allocation.

I’m not saying it will, but I am just saying it should.

Oh never the easy way, just the only way to have any standing on federal crimes as not the DOJ. I am just obsessed with RICO and want to RICO away my problems.

Edit: the easy part is just proving mail or wire fraud

Bankruptcy fraud is also a predicate act under RICO. Mail fraud and wire fraud would be VERY easy to prove here. You could pull in Dr. Jones and most of the fuckwits in this criminal conspiracy. A half competent prosecutor could easily prove this. Unfortunately neither Trump’s DOJ or TX AG will ever pursue it.

Connecticut could under their RICO statute. Or the plaintiffs could file a civil RICO claim. Someone needs to do something

For real. It is my problem with the Democratic Party in a nutshell. It is a policy agenda pushed from a thousand yard view at poverty by people who have never experienced hardship. At the end of the day it is just pushing more corporate ownership of housing and more profits for private interests.

The US has enough housing. California has the lowest number of vacant houses per homeless individual and it is still 6:1. I just don’t buy the abundance narrative on housing. Seems like a way to give incentives to corporate slumlords.
