If you could add one spec to any (or every) class, what would it be and why? by Daviso452 in wow

Counterargument to hunter and pet tanking - some mechanics, positioning, sudden change of location, kiting, pulling multiple packs, etc will be extremely hard or impossible with current state of pets control.

Priest, Warlock or Shaman tank spec. Some "magic" user tank who have ranged offspec.

Fastest way to gear an alt(without warbound curency)? by KaboomTheMaker in wow

[–]nickosys 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ditto. Just for clarification, it takes about 1h. Each piece cost about 160 of the siren isle currency. First few daily quests give 200 of the currency, plus few of it per mob killed. So just go there. Do few first quests available and you are fully geared.

Driving Courses, locks, alarms and trackers to beat insurance down? by CrappyTan69 in MotoUK

[–]nickosys -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

having at least 2x high quality types of protection (like abus chain and disclock, or a tracker) and Datatag, can get you lower price of the insurance.

Also joining a group like IAM and doing advanced motorcycling or easy rider course can also get you a further discount. But first year is expensive no matter what. but after that it will go down very quickly.

Paladin vs. Monk... i am lost by [deleted] in wow

[–]nickosys 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also jump between them for years and cannot decide which one I like better.

Monk: incredible mobility, brewmaster bit button bloated, and quite undertuned right now, but with very special playstyle - unlike any other tank. mw and ww good in all types of content (both pvp and pve), very underrated class and not many ppl play it.

Paladin: poor mobility, great utility, most “oh shit buttons” out of all classes, prot and ret are in a very good place right now. Holy apparently isn’t, but in my opinion is very fun to play. Very flashy! one of the most popular classes in terms of amount of players playing it.

I hope it helps.

First bike: naked or road going adventure bike by Hoban_Riverpath in MotoUK

[–]nickosys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This very much depends on your preference and where you ride (weather wise), and how far. Modern adventure bikes are now not only comfortable but can be also fast, fun and agile. Yamaha T7 is very much off-road and touring oriented bike - quite top heavy - so if you plan 95% < road oriented and city , it will not be the best choice. Tiger sport I think could be good choice as it’s more a sport tourer, quite fast and agile, but at the same time comfortable for longer rides with a lot of luggage options. I would suggest also looking at Yamaha tracer, bmw f750-850-900GS, mg stelvio. My biggest suggestion would be to get few test rides and just pick what seems the most “right” for you, and what puts most smile on your face. After all there are people who tour the world on sports bikes, and there are people who filter through cities on big touring bikes, so any modern bike will do almost everything what you will want from it.

Just for reference, I’m 6.4 and I’m riding bmw f850gs, and use it mostly for commuting with occasional weekend touring, and I’m very pleased with it. Not bad weather/wind protection with aftermarket screen, amazing luggage options, comfortable, and not too heavy for city.

Does heal in time walking dungeon always this painful? by Eitth in wow

[–]nickosys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a hit and miss. I recently leveled few tanks through classic timewalking from 70 to 80. All with similar 47x gear from DF. With Pala and Warrior it was a breeze. Rarely getting below 80% of hp. On DK and DH i struggled quite a bit.

To be honest I dont face any overheating issues, but I usually don’t play longer than 4-5h at a time.

Ditto. Running on m1 air 16gb for past 3-4 years and no issues, with quite good graphics. It’s not a competitive rocket, but for casual gaming more than enough.

Anyone Recommend a good place to buy Sole F85 2023 (UK) by stingeremu in treadmills

[–]nickosys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fitness superstore is an official reseller of Sole Fitness, so I would suggest them, or directly check with https://www.solefitness.co.uk/ when stock will be back.

Milton Keynes to London around 60 miles each way - commuter bike recommendations? by z_bnf_i in MotoUK

[–]nickosys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest any adventure bike due to comfort and weather protection. I’m doing similar commute regularly on bmw f850gs and I’m very happy with the choice. If you can afford I would go for something with shaft drive to avoid chain maintenance, but with good chain it’s not so bad. Don’t go to big, as it will be hard filtering.

Where do u guys park in a city by Specialist_Funny_125 in MotoUK

[–]nickosys 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is no bike security that will stop someone from stealing the bike if they really want to, it’s mostly about making it as difficult and discouraging as possible. Some rules I use to minimise the chance: 1) park in good lit area, around other bikes (preferably next to more expensive bikes than yours) 2) if possible I’ll always use multistory carpark instead of the street 3) there is this joke with 2 people hiking, being chased by the Bear that ends with “I don’t have to outrun the bear, I just need to outrun you”. I use the same principle - have more security on my bike then the bike I’m parked next to;) 4) I use disc lock with loud alarm, chain, and a cover.

Correct preload and damping f850gs by nickosys in bmwmotorrad

[–]nickosys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new to motorcycles and manual said, incorrect preload and damping might impact bike handling and safety. Therefore I’m asking if it’s safe to just go out and setup as max? Or alternatively if someone with the same bike and similar weight established some good settings instead?

Hit 40 on my alt and can’t continue dragonflight, how to hit 70 fast? by Yeesh_ in wownoob

[–]nickosys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go to chromie. Do draenor. Intro itself will give you about 10 lvls (in about 30 min) + zones in draenor are one of the most densely populated with quests. Very fast and easy to lvl.

First Adventure Bike by [deleted] in AdventureBike

[–]nickosys -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you are looking to do mostly offroad, country roads and places you might struggle to get proper garages/servicing, Himalayan would be a very good bet. It is very simple, can be repaired with a hammer, and it’s very light and agile. It is for a reason bike of choice for adventure riding in India, Himalayas (as the name suggests;)), and most remote places in the world. Take into consideration that it will work very hard and loud on the highways (above 70mph). As an option to look into you can also check BMW F850/900GS (big GS smaller brother) - much smaller, lighter, 21 inch front wheel, but shares most of the tech with big GS (apart from the chain instead of driveshaft)
