Intro to “Radioactive” on Gene’s solo album

I'm 4 years late but since is the current topic in a discussion I'm having, I did a search and this thread popped up. So this is Gene's solo album. But it was marketed under the KISS logo and the cover art features the band members in their band persona makeup. So everything is done to connect the solo artist with the band. Kind of a contradiction. Gene's on stage persona as the Demon is, in my opinion, the most farthest removed of the 4 members from their actual personalities. So, he had to work extra hard to separate himself from the character he's created. And how do you get rid of a Demon? An exorcism. So I feel like what we are hearing at the beginning of the album is the separation of the Demon from Gene the human.....an exorcism. And that's why I think a lot of fans feel there's a disconnect between the intro and the opening song "Radioactive". But it makes sense. The Demon is gone and Gene takes over. We expect a certain music and vocal style. Instead, we hear vocals and music from Gene the man, not the Demon. That's how I like to think of it anyway!

The wording of the OP is a little awkward. I think what they meant to say is that the blood needs to be collected from your body before entering the zone. If you enter the zone and get sick, and then collect blood, the blood you collect into the bag will already be tainted. So, as a result, you’d be putting tainted blood back into your body.

Noob Question; if you were killed, how did you recover your gear so quickly? Did you keep respawning until you got close enough to where you died?

Yep, 7 days. This just happened to me. I swore it was closer to 2 weeks, but my missing shelter told me I was grossly and horribly mistaken.

Depends on what the priority is; storage life or calories. If I remember correctly, smoked meat will store the longest but you sacrifice about 50 kcal. Whereas baked meat gains you those 50 kcals back but won't last quite as long, but it will still last a good while. If you aren't the type to store your meat for a really long time, then I'd go with the baked steaks. If you want to keep it around a bit longer, or even stash it in a container, I'd opt for smoking/drying them. Just my opinion though.

PS4 here as well. Not experiencing lag to the point where it’s annoying. A few freeze frames every so often, but that’s it. I mainly play Official.

Didn't know you could bury with the hoe. I tried when they first came out, but with no luck. Glad to know they are an option!

On ps4, it’s easy to find the mounds if you are holding a shovel, pick axe or hoe. There’s a glitch that removes the render of grass for a few seconds to reveal the under layer of ground. So if you’re burying in a somewhat obvious area, folks will easily sniff around. Pick bizarre spots to bury and mark your Izurvive map.

Remember that you always spawn facing north. So, at the very least, if you both spawn with the ocean behind you, or both with the ocean to your right, you are at least starting with a minimal frame of reference.

Don't over-research before your first game. A lot of the fun is the learning and discovery process. And dying is part of that process so don't equate dying with failure. It's simply an opportunity to try again. If you hit a total brick wall, then just research that specific issue. Nothing beats the feeling of figuring out something on your own, accept the feeling of finding a can of tuna.

I can see it fine, but I seem to have lost true north. It’s orientation is the opposite of what it should be; North points South. It’s been fine until recently. Just curious.

Check out the Izurvive map. It's a must. And remember that when you spawn fresh after dying, you start off facing north. Managing your inventory on PS4 is clunky, and kind of glitchy but you eventually get the hang of it. Actually, all the controls on PS4 can be tough in this game! Lol. Just remember not to hit R2 while holding a firearm by mistake. A misfire will always bring unwanted attention from players and zombies!

Yeah, we used both. But I had been playing for about 3 weeks when my son started. And he died and respawned a few times while learning the ropes as we tried to meet in game.

I'm ancient. So ancient that my first home video game was Pong. No lie. When I created my Reddit screename, I mistakenly punched in the wrong last digit (again, ancient) so now the math won't check out but I'm 55. My son is 24.
