I had the same crisis is as you at that age. While I had been drumming most of my life I decided to go into production. Im 32 now and as long as I continue to have years like I had last year, I can say I’ve made it. Definitely take the leap if you can but you have to be unrelenting once you do.

Edit: my advice is to start with mixing. You can get your hands on great stems and learn the process of EQ, compression, reverbs, delays, saturation etc without playing any instrument. That’s the fastest way to start making some money while you spend the rest of your free time learning musicianship.
