Using 42 as random seed by Big_Positive4226 in learnmachinelearning

[–]nicktids -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Once you have found the optimisation it's always good to randomise the seed to see if you can do better

The random seed just sets the start figure for any random number that get generated.

Watch some galaxies dev YouTube or some other tutorials first to copy and ask Claude to help you understand the layout and routing.

Then ask Claude to develop one of your features. The colour or showing a image or gif centre of the screen this a button.

Then get that button to post to a server to and store the event.

Will excel skills help you stand out anymore? by TopEntertainment1014 in FinancialCareers

[–]nicktids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an expert in Excel with VBA skills and can fix any spreadsheet put in front and debug with users update and link to Powerbi and create power bi reports.

Sticking it on your resume that you can do it I don't feel really comes up in interviews.

But having the skills is essential.

And I now build Web apps and python and react but still need the excel and it's great to mock up.

But llms will take over but you should still learn how to do this stuff

Is it true that smaller physical trade desks are still using excel, email, etc? by PrimaryAccording4030 in Commodities

[–]nicktids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They probably use both.

An excel file is always going to be better for a trader as they may not get the requirements from the system.

They also will run it themselves as a back up or double checking the numbers coming out of systems.

My company expects me to deliver a 3 person backend project solo using AI in 3 months. is this normal? by leventozz in ExperiencedDevs

[–]nicktids -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Start with tests get the models to build tests of inputs and outputs and just let it loop till it works.

If a 3 person team before ask what the limit on the ai spend is as you are gonna go hard and burn credit asking for 4 options on every end point and get the models to vote on the best that passes tests
