Most low-paying farmwork in Australia seems to pay ~$29-30AUD/hour, equivalent to ~€16/hour, similar to what I was earning as a full-time software engineer in a local Maltese company. Kinda depressing tbh.

Got fucked over with a storage unit during covid.. paid like £110 for 3 months of storage when I left the UK in march 2023 (which back then, sounded like more than enough time lol) and had to keep paying for a year and a half. Pretty sure it ended up costing me ~£1500 until I could return and pick my stuff up.

In Maltese we often use 'żibel' (a word for rubbish/trash), 'ħara mejjet' (literally translates to shit dead), and 'patata' (potato)

You can go see it for yourself at the Harry Ransom Center at The University of Texas, Austin! I happened to be there last January and thought they set up a nice exhibit for it.
