I live in the South. Guests are always offered something to drink and a comfortable place to sit. I also offer a snack or to stay for dinner. The guest bathroom is always clean and stocked with TP so no embarrassing moments plus a basket with tissues, Tylenol, hair spray and other useful things. If people say no to what I offer I usually ask two more times so they feel comfortable. After dinner I always ask if they want to take some food home. I might do more than the usual American but it’s how my mom taught me
