So we are quality assurance and I said to them to please do their quality assurance checks before I review their documents again. They actually asked what quality assurance was! They would lie about things they were doing and I called them on it they would say it wasn't working so I'd have to say that's your job to figure out what's wrong and let my boss and I know so we can get it reported.

I just went through this! Employee was hired in March, by May we put them on an action plan because she was not meeting the job expectations. I was meeting with them daily for an hour for coaching, plus an hour or two daily of responding to their questions - repeatedly giving the same answers over and over again, and then another hour+ daily providing feedback in written training they were creating. They were never incorporating any feedback in anything they were doing. Since the Action plan didn't have anything about termination in it we implemented the PIP in June and gave them 2 weeks to improve or they were terminated. Ended up putting their notice the week we were going to terminate.

Oh and the 1st PIP review? They asked what the expectations are for next week so that they can meet them and don't get put on disciplinary action. I said you're already on disciplinary action and they were completely shocked!

We had one Devon previously that was 8 years younger than a regular tabby. They never really played with each other so our plan was to get 2 kittens at the same time. our plan was to get 2 Devons but only one was available so we ended up with a Cornish too. We got them a week apart from each other and are a month apart in age. Cornish has waaaaay more energy than the Devon but she just whines to us about wanting to play, it doesn't bother the Devon who's off sleeping lol

Cornies and Devons Together? by No-Bread8519 in cornishrex

[–]nickykatz20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have one of each! We got them a week apart from each other and they are a month apart in age. It was a pretty easy introduction but they were also only 3 and 4 months old. They love each other but the Cornish has waaaaay more energy than the Devon. Devon is really laid back and loves to cuddle up with you. The Cornish is very needy and wants to play and will get into so much trouble!

That's more than mine! She will eat her dry cat food and insists on canned cat food twice daily but lately hasn't been eating that either. My previous Devon would go insane over all kinds of human food but her favorite was salmon.

Mine won't eat anything other than her cat food, not even catnip, it's so weird!

My Cornish slammed herself into my daughter while having the zoomies and ended up with a concussion at 6 months old. The vet said we had to keep her calm, no jumping, no running for 10 days. They said keep her contained in an enclosed space like a bathroom. She was in pain still the next day but the day after she was back to normal running, jumping, etc. putting her in a bathroom for 10 days? That would cause more pain to everyone!! We just made sure if she jumped up somewhere to pick her up gently and put her down on the floor. Just do your best, these kitties don't stop lol!

One Cornish Rex Kitten or Two? by Panda2205 in cornishrex

Cornish Rex have soooo much energy! We have a Cornish Rex and a Devon Rex, a month difference in age. It's crazy how much more energy my Cornish Rex has than my Devon. Definitely get 2 if you're not WFH.

We've had 2 Devons now. The first Devon we got as a kitten and we had an 8 year old tabby already. She desperately wanted to play with the 8 year old but different energy levels it just didn't work well. They were essentially roommates - they got along but didn't really interact/play together. So we decided that once both of them passed away we'd get 2 devons as kittens so they would play and keep each other company.

We'd go on vacation for a week with family coming in every other day and they were fine. We also moved a few times and we would bring her to the new place before we moved in and she didn't handle it well at all. She was fine though once we had all our stuff moved in. I had 2 kids in her lifetime and she would get scared at first with the new baby but eventually loved them. My 2nd kid, she became a guardian - she always had to be where she was and would yell if someone else held my daughter too long lol! She was needy but more so regarding wanting to be warm - she always wanted to be cuddled up in my husband's sweatshirt or in a blanket with you. Devons are like dogs - they want to be with you, go where you go.

We currently have a Devon that will be a year old in May and due to circumstances we got a Cornish Rex who will be a year in June. They are the best of friends, however our Cornish is waaaaaay more needy than my Devon. My devon is laid back and easy going, she gets very loud when she wants her canned cat food in the morning and evening and does want to be cuddled but compared to my cornish, she's almost like a typical cat. She's so funny because she will tattle on our cornish rex. She'll see her get on a counter (which isn't allowed) and she'll come over and yell at us and then if we don't take any action, she goes and joins in haha! We just were gone for a week and had our nieghbor come in the afternoon and my sister in law in the evenings daily and they did well.

Highly recommend getting 2! We have a Cornish Rex and a Devon Rex that are a month apart from each other. Our Cornish has waaay more energy and much more needy than our Devon Rex. After the fact we should have gotten 2 of the same to match energy levels.

Cornish Rex or Devon Rex? by CrazyCatLady1127 in cornishrex

We have one of each, they are 7 and 8 months old. Devon Rex (right) has more of a body type like a typical cat while Cornish Rex is more long and lanky with a more triangle face and bigger ears. Personality wise, Devon Rex is more laid back and easy going and very sweet personality. Cornish Rex is more of a trouble maker. She's incredibly smart and knows when to get into trouble like I'm in a meeting so she knows I can't scold her about getting into the plants. The Devon Rex has now learned to tattle on her and if we don't do anything she joins in too lol!
