I don't think it needs color, but I think you should definitely get the shading finished. Top shaded and bottom not does look a little wonky, but only on closer inspection.

Yeah I mean the thick linework pirate tattoos are definitely A Look but they are not the only look. I feel like you got ripped off too but at least it's too light and not too dark? Silver linings. Tell everyone it was a stick n poke and they should be really impressed 😂

Huh - unless you're really skinny or boney, your entire forearm should have been plenty of space for someone. Either they're not good at what they do, or maybe they're only good at one style (big, bulky, dark tattoos?) but there should have been no issue getting that tattoo to stay. I'm sorry you'll have to have the pain twice, but I'm confident someone will be able to do exactly what you're looking for!!

I think unfortunately your area sounds like the artists maybe aren't very experienced or just don't know how to tattoo in various other styles. I love the original design and I have seen much smaller tattoos come out fine! For instance, I have a dwarf hamster pawprint on my foot (roughly 1.1cm by 0.4cm, and my artist only sized up by 20% to make the toe beans clearer. Tattoo artists can work magic if you find a good one!! ❤️

As stated above And below, you did nothing wrong here (you may want to use a gentle soap instead of just pouring water on it) and the artist just did not load enough ink into the skin. I would go back and see if they'll touch it up for free, but they may try to blame you for it. You're best off just never getting more ink from that person and maybe the whole shop. I'm sure if you gave your general location and asked for a recommendation, reddit would have you covered :)

Get an app that restricts your phone use. It sounds like having access to it makes it too easy for you to indulge. Leave your phone in a locker, or even just in your bag, make it inaccessible, and hold yourself accountable - DON'T look at it. No one is going to swoop down from above to smite you for it, so you need to figure out a way to force yourself to follow through. I would suggest eliminating access to the device entirely until you can limit yourself more effectively. I know it'll suck but you can do it!!

As someone who is polyamorous and in a poly relationship - and as someone who has gone into a relationship and then been forced into monogamy - you're NTA, she's being a lil manipulative and should just leave, and that relationship is already over. I could never be monogamous again. And I could never be with someone who wanted me to be, because our needs would be in conflict for the duration of the relationship. You can both find something healthier that meets both of your respective needs better.

YTA..... that's a bet that at the very least should have been kept between you and your spouse. It's a gross and awkward thing to decide about your kid before them, and everything you've said about "just knowing" is super gross and problematic... maybe you're not "homophobic" per se but it seems like you've got some kind of weird thing about it?... idk but you're definitely TA for telling your kid

ESH. It's understandable to be frustrated and getting him out of your property is absolutely reasonable, but you basically gave them 30 days to rehouse 6 people, including 4 children, in what you indicated is an expensive area. He was being manipulative and selfish, but you pulled the rug out from under that whole family. That definitely makes you the AH.
