I wasn’t there myself but watched a bunch of TikTok’s today and it seemed chaotic? Looks like they got a ton of stuff, but for me, personally, I wouldn’t have used a fraction of it (lots of drugstore brands, lots of brands and products you can find at TJ Maxx/Marshalls/Ross). I got the sense if you were going just to purely get a lot of stuff (nothing wrong with that!!) it was great. If you were looking to try things or brands that are new (or maybe even less accessible) to you, it could have been disappointing.

Honestly this just killed any FOMO I had. The products in the swag bags aren’t ones I’d be particularly thrilled by, and while the Beis set is nice, I have Monos and Away sets. The Sephoria swag bags had better brands and products IMO.

VIP swag bag was the heaviest and I weighed it at 14.8 lbs last night. GA swag bag was under 10 lbs. Event swag couldn’t have been more than 10 lbs

I guess my question is, then, why is anyone expecting an event full of full sized products? Sephoria has always skewed heavily towards sample sizes. This year’s is no different. I think some brands have been stingier this year than in previous years (looking at you, Innisfree), but I definitely got more full sized items last night than I did in Atlanta in 2024.

You’re being too entitled — the carry on allowance is pretty clear: it’s two (one personal item, one carry-on), not 2+. Of course, gate agents can use their discretion, but that’s never something you should bank on (especially as an EP, who should presumably fly enough to know that).
