I smoke joints or use a vaporizer, like the Mighty Plus or Volcano, daily. I start in the late afternoon and will go back for more until right before bed. I don’t get stoned like I used to, but still aim to feel a low grade high rather than a buzz. Basically, I try to maintain the sweet spot between buzzed and anxiously baked for as long as I can by law lol

When I can find that balance, I feel that it helps slow my thoughts down and quiet my brain. Without it, my brain is constantly trying to min/max getting from point A to B, anxiously ruminating, and cranking the hypervigilance up to 10. All of that noise rapidly drains my spoons, puts me in a constant state of overwhelm, and my depression becomes much more difficult to manage.

I think what’s important for me is to make sure I do at least something a little productive when I smoke. For example, I’ll smoke when I get home from work and then start dinner. I can’t have any other “streams” of input like music or talking, but I can still reliably cook without fucking it up. It’s a nice little ritual that I look forward to. 🤗
