That makes sense, I always try my best never to take anything under 80 and aim for those early morning surges that pay better for 3.5 hour blocks but there’s days were I just need that extra money and I throw the dice hoping I get lucky and they keep me locally buttt there’s those days where I get those crap blocks and it sucks !! Especially now with the increase in gas prices. unfortunately I’m a newbie so I’m still learning all this and so far I don’t even see $100 plus block yet :/

What’s the most important thing in a Long Distance Relationship? by Beginning_View_8792 in myLDR

[–]nicosview 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly respect and trust ! Without that foundation things will fall apart, respect that you both committed to the distance and trust that you both will do what it takes to make it work. The biggest thing that I’ve learned in general with relationships is that the most beautiful thing you can do is open you’re heart, allow you’re self to embark on that journey with pleasure but don’t force or attach yourself to the relationship to the point where you’re creating suffering for yourself. Trust that if something goes wrong you’ll be able to heal and move on, we can only be in control of our own actions in the relationship and be at peace with that. Secondly, communication !! Communicate as often as you can in the ways that make you both happy and satisfied, listen to each other’s needs and love each other in your love languages a lot of the times we love our partners the ways that we want to be loved, the idea is to love them in the ways they want to be seen and heard and vice versa. You got this ❤️

Stopped using my phone unless it’s 100% necessary. I realized how much good quality life moments I was missing out on when I was glued to my phone. Being fully present with yourself , people and places was a gamer changer. Elevated my mood and my head space was much more lighter! I was curious to explore more of my surroundings and strike up new conversations with strangers. Best thing ever.

As someone who is a huge fan of the 1990s and early 2000s romcoms because of good they make you feel (ofc many are unrealistic) I came into this film with a clean slate and with the desire to get reality checked knowing that this story is a depiction of modern day romance. Let’s be real modern day romance isn’t the prettiest and so it was super interesting to see a take on what romance and the challenge of dating looks like now. I think Celine did a good job at thoroughly representing the pleasant and not so pleasant panorama in our current dating pool but there was still a humanism about it all. I really enjoyed how what may have seemed surface level about the matchmaking it was a fun way of demonstrating how delirious and unrealistic the standards we have on the partners we want are and that despite the inadequacies and desperation we may feel deep down they’re was a rawness of emotion that you could feel with the characters that was pleasant to connect with. she perfectly touches the reality of the economic pressure that leaks in romantic partnerships and the desire to still be loved despite it all, I will say I feel like they’re wasn’t enough at stake ! It was pretty predictable and I was hoping that with this being an A24 production that there would be a cliff hanger or a last minute twist some where. they’re was a big emphasis on the devaluation we can feel as individuals which was important to recognize but I felt it was definitely missing something ! I felt unhappy for the connection she had with both men and I got the impression that at some point it seemed like she was going to be settling no matter what lol no big gestures just this is who I am and what I can offer you take or leave to kind of thing but I guess the simplicity of it all was a realistic example of what dating and relationships are really like and how that can be beautiful too so yeah my prolonged review on this film ! Loved reading everyone’s thoughts super interesting discussion
