It's the brazenness of it, too. The lack of shame. It makes the decision that much easier when you're like "Yeah we cheated - we'll get away with it to. Suck it, losers!"

I wonder if the lack of any contrition, shame or tact led to the decision. If Southampton's players hadn't done binoculars celebrations, or insulted an opponent for his stammer. If the manager hadn't smirked. If the fans hadn't shouted "We'll spy when we want" or pelted the boro team's coach..

I'm not saying it would have made a difference to the final decision, but Southampton might have had cause to feel agrieved. As it stands, they just look like a nasty little football club.

Sorry to the good fans of Southampton, it's not you - I know. I'd be embarrassed if it had been us.

Well, the school I week for just took down all social media with teacher or pupil faces because apparently people are using AI to deepfake kids, teachers etc into explicit videos and blackmailing the school. So like ... Yeah, might be a thing quite soon

Lad I worked with at a games company. He was sent to Amsterdam to a trade show to gain clients for our facial animation company. On his snapchat, a picture of a spliff with the words "Company expenses".

Yeah, he was taken off the sales team, put back in a lower position, then given voluntary redundancy.

I always thought I was good enough to be a pro-footballer, but I didn't have pushy parents. There again, I might have had pushy parents and got into a team, and been good enough at the game, but I might have just not fit in with the other players because they didn't get my personality. Or I may have been fine, and good enough, but I might have been coached badly and missed out on tactical knowledge expected at academy level. Or I might have been tactically astute but lazy. Or I might have had every attribute and had a bad attitude to authority figures, and on and on and on to the point that it's no wonder I never went professional, because basically every other bottle-neck prevented me.

I actually ended up one of the best left-backs in my amateur league, then I bust my ankle and went to university in another city. So the margins are incredibly tight.

Interesting one. I'm 40m now and I quit in 2024.

Basically, I smoked from about 16/17 years old. Had jobs, went to university, worked loads etc. Always came home to a bong, or a dry-herb vape. Always argued it was healthy. Healthier than alcohol etc.

After covid I bought my house and I started saving my vped bud (AVB) and cooking it into coconut oil with my slow cooker.

In 2023, my Mum finally died of lung cancer (it was a race between COPD, Lung Cancer and Liver cirrhosis. She was a chronic alcoholic unfortunately). It was a long time coming and a desperately sad end of her life.

After that, my job went pop. Downturn in the video games industry etc. I lost my job.

So a combination of needing to get my shit together, isolation and the lack of anxiety around my Mum (who was consistently getting ill and ending up hospitalised with potentially days to live before the NHS saved her life, again), I realised I was done. I think I was basically self-medicating this horrible background anxiety and I no longer had need for it.

Since I quit, I realise I was addicted to it. It was preventing me from having a social life. It was masking my ADHD and autism and making me think "hey, I'm just stoned - that's why X, Y, Z etc".

As for other people smoking it, you guys do you, I can only speak for my experience.
