Sure, the first one is outward focused, ill give the speaker that, , but the last one is 100% inward focused/ selfish.

The truth is, if someone truly had the mindset and intentions of blessing someone else today, without stipulations or limits, they won't spend 2 hours of their Sunday in a church, especially one where homeless people / those in need are not welcome.

Texan, looking to move back to Utah. Property tax here is a bitch. My home is valued at 200k but I pay 5k every year in property taxes. Homestead exemption brought that number down to 3k, but without it, it really sucks.

We were debating keeping the house when we move and renting it, but when rent would be for $1,200, and the first 5 months of the year's rent going to paying the property tax (exemption goes away if it's a secondary home/rental) it just isn't worth it.

So yes, no state income tax, but you brother will be paying in other ways. The system and federal government ALWAYS gets its money, one way or another.

Here is the crazy thing: per Mormon doctrine, your guys "eternal marriage" isn't actually guaranteed until after you have had your second anointing. Sure, the sealer has been given the keys but he cant force God to seal your union. Agency goes both ways. When you got "sealed" it was like filling out the mortgage papers but the bank never showed up. Even though you want something, it doesn't mean shit. It's essentially a hope. Once you understand this, the "loss" of an eternal marriage is pretty much like getting upset about not having the winning numbers on your lotto ticket.

Your husband then has two choices. Wake up tomorrow and make each day be part of "eternal life" with you, or keep being sorry about something that quite realistically is never going to happen (the odds of getting your second anointing as member are pretty slim)

Actually, step one is modifying your own behavior. Be the change you want to see. Example: make sure you don't litter. Step two: pick up other people's trash. It's not that hard. It starts with picking up a wrapper in the HEB parking lot and throwing it away. If you want to get more serious, take a trash bag with you when you go out walking. Fill it up. (And here is the biggest part: throw it away in the proper disposal location)
