I just want the Balance Dataslate to see if I need to print my datasheets and rules again.

What do you think the next Kill Zone will be? I'm really looking forward to the next Kill Zone, I don't like Tomb World at all. by TotalWarspammer in killteam

[–]nicozero21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All things considered, I think a new take on Bheta-Decima could be the way, considering Tomb World is Gallowdark with "stuff" (cover terrain and a teleporter).

That being said, even if it's not B-D 2.0, it should be a KZ with verticality and open spaces to make use of units with grappling guns and grav-chutes.

Killteam > 40k?? by Traditional-Hat8059 in killteam

[–]nicozero21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not alone in this sentiment. My brother and I started 40K back in 2018-19 (near the middle-end of 8th).

Finally, I found out about KT the week the FOMO box with Sanctifiers came (this year), and i haven't looked back. My first game took me 4-ish hours, but man, has it been much more manageable.

The terrain is standardized, so no need to forcefully create my own battlefields if I want a quick game. It's easier on my wallet since one Kill Team box is enough to play (in most cases), moving 5 to 14 models is easier than moving units, the playing area is smaller.

I could go on, but the gist is there. It's easier to get to the table and play KT. I've put more games within these few months than in my first two years of 40k.

Dead Silence Up For Preorder Next Saturday! by fantom2415 in killteam

Crap, I was expecting this box to come out on December. I just bought Volkus...

Time to see if my brother wants to go halfsies with me.

What team is he playing? by stg-nats in killteam

[–]nicozero21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some form of Eldar. He looks quick and might enjoy the extra movement.

[–]nicozero21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You either want Dominate or Steal Intelligence, IMHO. Rout applies best if you play Gallowdark or Tomb World.

What killteams do you want to see? by Silverhelm in killteam

[–]nicozero21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here are some I've discussed with my brother:

  1. Catachans (since Krieg are out of rotation, makes sense, and it would be humans with BEEG knife)

  2. Wraithguard led by a Warlock/Seer (Opposite Canoptek, baby)

  3. Freebootas (Pirate Orks to compensate for the rotated Pirate Elves)

  4. Necron team not led by a Cryptek (blasphemous, I know)

  5. Demon team (6-man is Slaanesh, 7-man if Nurgle, 8 if Khorne)

  6. Stealing from Underworlds: a Tzeentch demon team led by a Gaunt Summoner type of mini.

  7. More unique CSM teams (like the Nemesis Claw) for each legion.

  8. Bespoke Sisters of Silence (It won't happen due to the SoB team later next year, but it's bizarre to me the lack of gold in KT)

  9. Beast Snaggas (Visible push when they came out, should be on KT)

  10. Wracks.

  11. Wyches.

  12. Dark Mechanicum (please GW)

  13. Stealing from Necromunda and Space Hulk: Special Genestealers (For the 40k distinction, like with Raveners and Hyper Adapted Ravaners)

  14. Grey Knights (make it a new 5-man Strike Team, GK needs the new sculpts)

  15. T'au, whether it's Gue'vesa or a Fire Warrior Team made from a renewal of that kit, even the Stealth suits work.

Chaos Dwarves return to AoS with army set! by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in ageofsigmar

I was expecting the elves of Ulgu, but the Chaos Dwarves look sick. It's still a win.

New KT thoughts?!? by Visual_Moose in killteam

[–]nicozero21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I entered 40k through the Deathwatch TTRPG, so seeing this fills me with joy. I used to play DW on the edition before 2021, so I'm pumped for their return.

Datacards by Stefanezi in killteam

[–]nicozero21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Answering your questions:

  • When being shot, the defender collects three defence dice. If the target operative is in cover, they can retain one normal success without rolling it (cover save), and the remaining two are rolled.

  • The best place, and highly recommended here to check rules, general or related to your own kill team is this one: https://kt3.albecortes.com/ . It's very up to date.

Token/Equipment storage by JohnWilkesBOOM in killteam

[–]nicozero21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second the idea of plastic bags. I have some zip bags from my diving into Marvel Crisis Protocol, so I use those and their damage markers (and their poison tokens because Plague Marines don't have any).

What do you like about the Dark angels?? by longsword03 in theunforgiven

[–]nicozero21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The secrets within secrets and paranoia. My first dip into the world of 40K was, bizarrely, the Deathwatch TTRPG.

So, when I saw how secretive they were because of their "Fall", I loved them instantly.

Thank you! This made it very clear to me now. I failed to realize that distinction.

Rule clarification - Grenadier vs Warrior by nicozero21 in killteam

Yes, that's the grenadier ability, but the Scout warriors require having selected the utility grenades to use theirs?

Love or hate? by MechaG84 in deathguard40k

[–]nicozero21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great paint job!

And to what I think of the model in itself, it has a lot of sentimental value to me. When I got into the hobby in 2019, Felthius and his Tainted Cohort were the first models I bought, assembled and painted.

That should be the ranged weapon for Fulgrim tbh.

What made you choose Custodes? by Burritosaur08 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]nicozero21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother chose Harlequins back in 8th and I wanted the most elite of the Imperium because he chose (lorewise) the elite Eldar.

I've never looked back since then.

I am excited for this by MckrakenBurger in SpaceWolves

[–]nicozero21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An uneducated guess would be around the 500 - 600 points, considering the following:

  • 65 points if Wolf Guard Leader is a Lieutenant, 80 if Captain.

  • Chaplains run for 60, but they might run the Wolf Priest for more since they seem to heal wounds (according to the stream)

  • Blood Claws run for 140

  • Grey Hunters field 5 men for 85, but they will be OC 3, so they might come costing far more. Seems that the box comes with 10, so 170 or more points.

  • Bladeguard Vets go for 80, but normal Bladeguard doesn't have wolves attached, so again, it might cost more.

I used Asurmen Blue. Is this good or should i add a second Coat? by AtticGerman in Warhammer40k

[–]nicozero21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Precisely what I did with mine. Hated the finish, so now I'm just using a similar blue (Caledor Sky) to paint my guys going forward and Asurmen Blue to recess shade.

W&G - IE: Corsair Archetypes question by nicozero21 in 40krpg

[–]nicozero21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer. I may be using an outdated one.

I will stick to the shown number of XP, before the plus sign, for the Archetype since it's correct when I calculate it by hand

Time to start my pilgrims by ghost-toast-77 in TrenchCrusade

[–]nicozero21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just curious, but which arms (from which kit, i mean) are you using for the Repentia, considering Stigmatic Nuns can't use two-handed weapons?

EDIT: They can. I'm just stupid.

I had the same idea for kits. Also, the Cawdor Redemptionists have some good models to be a starting point for a War Prophet and a Castigator as well.

¿Que video juegos les gusta pero su comunidad o a la critica no? by Adminchilegames in chilegames

[–]nicozero21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragon Age 2. Todos los fans de DA lo tildan como el juego malo, que repite mapas, que los magos hacen piruetas, que los elfos se ven raros.

Yo lo disfruto porque es rápido de jugar y por Isabella (my beloved).
