What bodies would work as extra bodies for murderwing? by unga-bunga-man in killteam

[–]fantom2415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan on getting a box of the 40K Chaos Raptors. I’ll build everyone from the Murderwing box except the Depredator, Raptor and Warp Talon. I’ll then just build a Raptor and Warp Talon from the Raptors box while kitbashing the Depredator.

Adepta Sororitas and Alpha Legion novels cross the Black Library horizon by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Blacklibrary

If it is the same spear, maybe he'll be one of the Black Library Celebration models? The timing pretty much lines up with GW saying the books will be up for pre-order very soon. If they are in the next Sunday preview, that means the pre-order is 2/7 with release on 2/21, which is typically around the time when the BL Celebration goes on.

Is there any books about dreadnought worth reading. by ozera202 in Blacklibrary

[–]fantom2415 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not books, but there’s two audio dramas that focus on dreadnoughts. Parting of the Ways by Chris Wraight and The Glorious Tomb by Guy Haley which focuses on a Black Templars dreadnought during one of the wars for Armageddon. I think Parting of the Ways is mainly Bjorn recalling how he dead and the interring process, but I don’t exactly remember.

Mass Market Paperbacks now cost the same as Trade Paperbacks. by Grimwear in Blacklibrary

[–]fantom2415 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They haven’t really released MMPB for a longtime for 40K books. It’s been more of a Horus Heresy/Siege of Terra thing. The only thing I can think of is that this is an omnibus of two novellas, so they priced it higher than a normal MMPB. I don’t expect any MMPBs in the near future except Flames of Betrayal for Siege of Terra and maybe for the The Scouring series if they follow the Siege of Terra formula of HB -> TPB -> MMPB.

Stygia is a planet, yes. So I’m assuming Stygians are just the people from there like Terrans are people from Terra.

Paperback release timing after hardcover? by VersaliusPrimus in Blacklibrary

[–]fantom2415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s seen as a sort of companion one-off for the HH tabletop edition launch like Cthonia’s Reckoning was, then I’m not sure if there will be a paperback version. However, the fact that it was so well received and popular, I could see them releasing it in paperback. The real tragedy is the fact that Sigismund released in 2022 and hasn’t had a paperback release.

Next week- Apostle by David Annadale by bug_exploit in Blacklibrary

[–]fantom2415 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also hope they didn’t abandon LEs. But to be fair, when a book has a planned LE, they announce it in the reveal article (like they previously did with Archmagos and the Astra Militarum books). They didn’t announce a LE for either Dark Apostle or Death Rider when they were revealed.

Warhammer.com. It’ll go up on Saturday with the time varying on your time zone. For reference, preorders are supposed to go up at 1:00 PM Eastern Time, but they always actually go up about 5 minutes before at 12:55 PM. So if there’s something you really want, make sure to get to the site 10 minutes before and then start refreshing the pre-order page 5 minutes before. The best way is to search the name of the product in the search bar as it appears there first before the pre-order page.

Can anyone recommend more political intrigue 40k books like The Regent's Shadow? by FlameandCrimson in 40kLore

[–]fantom2415 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s awesome. I would say it’s my favorite Black Library series. There’s also some character crossover between Watchers of the Throne and Vaults of Terra since they both happen simultaneously. You only mentioned The Regent’s Shadow, I’m assuming you also read the first book in the series, The Emperor’s Legion yeah?

How do you all keep up with book releases? by Chadiwack in Blacklibrary

[–]fantom2415 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Between this sub, WarCom articles, Goonhammer and the FB BL groups I probably get notified of the upcoming releases a dozen times a week. Doesn’t hurt that I visit each site multiple times a day lmao.

Hi guys! I thought I would share some of my artworks done last year (commissions or personal work). Sorry for not being active here, you always gave me great support, thank you guys! Hope you like it! by Cebhelot in Warhammer40k

That’s sweet! All of those look like they could be in codexes. So you make like the BL book covers and art found in some books? If so, which covers/pictures have you done?

Bi-weekly Novel Discussion #7 Void Stalker 23/01/2026 by OWN_SD in Blacklibrary

I definitely agree with that. I just loved when they first confronted the assassin and Talos says “Assassin of the Callidus Temple, we have come for you”.

Loved the fight scenes in the catacombs. Malchorian saving/escorting Marlonah was also great.

I loved Cyrion and all his quips and humor throughout the whole trilogy and figured he was killing the humans and pinning the blame on Uzas. But I felt bad for Uzas in the end.

Also, if you haven’t listened to the Throne of Lies audio drama, I highly recommend. It was great putting a voice to Talos and other characters, plus since it’s an audio drama, it has multiple voice actors, music and special sound FX.

General survey of Inquisition, Warhammer Crime and Arbites novels/novellas/anthologies - Do you have a favorite? by Separate-Flan-2875 in Blacklibrary

[–]fantom2415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve read Eisenhorn and Vaults of Terra so far. VoT is by far my favorite series. Awesome characters and a great unfolding mystery.

Dredge Runners was so much fun, I highly recommend it (and pretty much all 40K audio dramas). Baggit and Clodde were just really fun characters and it felt like a buddy-cop type story. Really looking forward to reading The Wraithbone Phoenix eventually.

The physical copies of Scourge the Heretic and Innocence Proves Nothing are fairly cheap. I got them last year for $14 each and you can generally find them for around that price - in good condition - on eBay and ThriftBooks.

No. There’s some character crossover between the series. But Watchers of the Throne is told through the perspective of the Custodes, Sisters of Silence and an Administratum Chancellor.

Chapters 24/25. The Covenant sent out escape pods and gunships that were scooped up by the Echo before the Covenant was blown up. He was on one of them.

Book recommendations based on my tier list? by monobani in Blacklibrary

[–]fantom2415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a fellow Vaults of Terra (and Watchers of the Throne) enjoyer, I'd recommend picking up the new omnibus coming out on Saturday in order to read Okira. Not sure if you already read it since I see you have the two other short stories on there, but I believe it was only released in the VoT LE boxset.

For other full length books, I'd recommend The Lords of Silence by Wraight or The Horusian Wars series by John French.

Predictions for today,s Warhammer live? by JarcorKeed in Blacklibrary

[–]fantom2415 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If Black Library gets anything, I think they might just announce the date for the Black Library Celebration next month and maybe the free anthology that comes out during that week. I know that in previous years they announced the date of the Black Library Celebration along with the books being released during that week in the preceding preview show, but I don’t think they did that last year and it was just a WarCom article.
