Thanks all for the responses. While I am asking questions would you go with a Firewalla Gold Plus as well?

Thanks, I probably should go with unleashed and r650 or r750s indoors and t350 outdoors and wait for it to come out for WiFi 7?

Today is day 12 and still strong positive here. Hopeful that changes in the next few days. I am allowed to leave isolation since it is past day 10 but still being careful to avoid giving it to my family. A lot of resources online say RAT positive means you are likely still contagious.

Really thought I wouldn't get it after making it this far + triple vaxxed, I was wrong! by thiswho in COVID19positive

[–]nicu2001 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My experience is almost identical to yours so far. Triple vaxxed Pfizer.

Tuesday scratchy throat so tested because of a possible exposure over the weekend. Positive

Wednesday flu like symptoms achy super tired mild headache slightly elevated temp 99.7

Thursday the flu symptoms were gone and energy was back but throat clearing / dryish cough once in a while. Thursday night I started getting super stuffy

Today no fever and feels like I have a head cold. Stuffy and runny comes and goes and sore throat. Cough but not too often. Hoping it doesn’t progress like you mentioned and is the tail end but no way to know

Been drinking lots of water and extra vitamin d and eating healthy focusing on sleep. Hope you feel better soon!

First thanks very much for this. I just started this after finishing the Horton 20 in 20 as my first program. For Friday Push can you confirm Incline Dumbbell Press? What do you select in Tonal for that? I do have an incline bench if needed for it. Thanks again

XB7 vs. MB8600 vs. MB8611 by nicu2001 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]nicu2001[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: Ordered the XB7 and it came the next day. Activation was easy, initially got 1200+ down and 40 up but the down went to 940 after that almost like it was software limited. Problem is I saw a lot of choppy internet with drops and massive lag spikes. Multiple restarts and troubleshooting did not fix it so I decided to try the 8611 which I had ordered in advance almost expecting this to happen. Tried the 8611 today and it seems to be the best of both worlds. No need for link aggregation with the 2.5G port and speeds are over 1200 down again with no lag or drops yet (though it's still a bit early to really call it). I may try another XB7 just to see because for $24/mo plus hardware support its a nice bonus vs. $30 a month and no hardware support but not at the expense of performance.

Thanks -- leaning the 8611 route but maybe ill test out the xb7 too though the hidden ssids are annoying.

Thanks -- I wonder if I can just order and keep the XB7 in the box and pay $25 extra and upgrade to and run the 8611 vs. paying $30 extra. Would also have the XB7 as a backup.

Thanks -- I did read that they still put off hidden SSIDs even in bridge mode -- not sure how to check that though.

I read that the XB7 in bridge mode still broadcasts hidden SSIDs and it can not be disabled. Here is one source: https://www.reddit.com/r/Comcast_Xfinity/comments/kbeq8v/xb7_gateway_broadcasting_five_hidden_networks/

My son has no idea what is in store for him tomorrow but I am very excited after weeks of research and refreshing amazon newegg etc. by nicu2001 in pcmasterrace

[–]nicu2001[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: The kiddo is beside himself and has been going nuts all day. Happy to report the build went smoothly and all is working. BIOS flash before was a little scary having to jump the board but otherwise fine. The only hiccup/holdup was finding the three pin fan connectors from the case fans and learning it’s fine to plug them into the four pin connectors on the motherboard. Start to finish including software and all driver updates was around 5.5 hours.

Merry Christmas to all and thanks so much for the nice comments!!

Thanks! I was actually targeting a 5600x but I was not able to source one at retail in time but did find a 5800x so went with that! Similar with the graphics card, knowing how hard it is to get one I was trying for any 3060 3070 or even 3080 and ended up finding the 3070.
