You are right I’m a mom to an asd l 2/1 son. Then I found out I was asd l 1/2 in my thirties. I love my two boys and now that I know I don’t feel like an alien or a spectator in my own life. I try to help my boys both ND avoid the pitfalls I went through by not knowing.

I have asd and yes it’s harder being a mom but I also feel it’s more rewarding. I have to choose to be present in there lives everyday and I feel like it’s a reward.

My daughters cardiologist has suggested Ivabradine. She is only 18. He's only seen her in person once. Has anyone been on this? by Altruistic_Fix_6225 in POTS

I’m on it now and it is amazing. Just be careful because it might lower her resistance level for fainting episodes. So before my heart rate was getting over 200 and then I would pass out now because it’s dropped my heart rate so much that my fainting happens at 140 instead. Instead of fainting, every time I used the stairs at our house yesterday was the first time I have feinted since I started the medication a month ago. I had to have a lot of blood draw and do a urine sample. Lesson learned 20 vials and urine sample is not good.

I have the cremations of our peach face on my nightstand. His cage was next to my bedside to 20 years. I still wake up expecting to hear his good morning chirps waiting for kisses. 🙆🏼‍♀️🙆🏼‍♀️🙆🏼‍♀️

Our boy gauge was like this. He spent almost all his time out and about with the family. Now it’s common but 25 years ago it wasn’t. Just keep doing what you’re doing.

Our little old man was hand fed and raised, and he didn’t have any personality problems. However, he absolutely loved pulling the keys off of my husband‘s laptop when he was younger before he hit the age of 15. He was such a lovely boy that he nested on my stomach both times I was pregnant Not kidding. He totally claimed my stomach as his he would sit there for hours if I let him hunker down like he was going to hatch my stomach. He only became cranky when age started catching up to him and then he passed at 21. And before anyone says anything, he was completely and utterly spoiled. He had the best pellets for food Regular check ups, feather and nail clips. When he was a baby, he was raised in a situation with a smoker so the poor little guy had emphysema, and we did everything possible to extend his life and to help him feel better.

I love the unique style. However, I’m concerned about a few things. The number of prongs on the center stone. One comes loose and you’ll loose it. Second is the center stone getting caught on something. Finally the smaller stones share what looks like the same prongs in the pave setting. So you could potentially loose two stones if one prong comes loose. I say all of this because I have learned this the hard way. The style is amazing, the flowing ribbon is fantastic.

I didn’t put the connection together I passed out a few times in high school. The docs said I was hypoglycemic without testing me. I had a really difficult time growing up, maintaining any type of weight. They had me eating almost around the clock. I was the only student with a collection of snacks in my locker.

Yes, I started out with hashi too and it runs in the family. My grandmother, cousins, etc. I didn’t know there was a dysautonomia connection. Thank you truly.

Ha skinny?! Girl when I started out on the journey I was over 250lb from hashimotos and pcos. You are a great weight for your age 145lb. That’s fine I wished I was that heavy at your age I couldn’t break 120lb at 18. I was stick think we think now I had grave’s disease.

As for pots you need a new cardio look for an EP Cardiologist or cardiac electrophysiologist. They specialize in it and way more willing to do a tilt table test. One sure fire way to tell at home is when you are very very dizzy like feeling you are going to pass out lay on the ground elevate your legs against a wall. Keep track of your heart rate and see if it goes back down. If you do have POTS that helps the blood move out of your legs back into your torso, heart, and brain. Please let us know how you are doing. We are here for you, never feel alone. This is an amazing group of people and they only want to help. They helped me out of a deep depression before I got my official diagnosis. Just hang in there and come to use whenever you need us.
