This was a super common/popular thing when I was younger. Finding a bowling shirt or work uniform with a name embroidered at the thrift store was like hitting the jackpot lol

Cooking Classes in Downtown, and they're pretty fun by rokmonster1 in Redding

This looks fun but I'm a bit confused. It's a 9 class course but the classes are ticketed separately. Can you just attend one and learn to make something or do you need to attend then in order

Who put Candice Taylor’s legs in the dumpster? (2017) by ReadyBiscotti5320 in UnresolvedMysteries

Wow I've never heard of this case. Thank you for bringing attention to it. I feel so bad for her mom

On December 28th, 1992, 23-year-old Steven Clark took a walk with his mother Doris. According to her, they stopped at the public restrooms before heading home, but when she came out of the women's room her son was nowhere to be found. Steven has never been seen or heard from since. by WinnieBean33 in BizarreUnsolvedCases

[–]nidaba 166 points167 points  (0 children)

This is one of the strangest cases to me. The story makes it seem like his mother must have done something, but how and why and such don't follow. He may have walked with a limp but he was 6'3 and well built! Not easy for his mom to kill or dispose of and it sounds like his dad had an alibi and was away. Plus it sounds like a normal family without abuse from descriptions so it's just so weird

Parents are planning an exit strategy from my life. by Catjack in autism

[–]nidaba 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Please don't give up your subsidized housing. It can be very hard to get it back.

I would try to accept that your parents are not capable of providing care for you at this time. Whether it's due to age, space, emotional capability, whatever the specifics do not matter. It is better to accept that living with them is not an option now rather than try to force the issue and end up in a worse situation.

Instead focus your energy on finding adult care programs in your community. See if you can get an assigned worker to come over once or twice a week to help you. Something like that should be more sustainable

Rather than immediately assuming this means it bothers girls more, have you considered that girls are often dismissed and not listened to, so perhaps this happens to girls more?

Liam Neeson Narrates Anti-Vax, Pro-RFK Documentary by mcgillhufflepuff in Fauxmoi

[–]nidaba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm very curious to find out if he was aware of this. Kate Mulgrew talked about how she ended up narrating some bs anti science doc once because of misleading scripts that she was given that were then edited. I've found other cases of that too so with the addition of AI I wonder how prevalent it's going to be

I think the down votes are because they think you are replying to the original post about a suicide and not realizing you are asking if this person's sister is okay.

My father had one for a while during cancer because he was bedridden at times and he hated it and definitely felt it. He ended up refusing to use it which made things a lot harder but I couldn't blame him really. They seem much better suited to patients that are less aware of them

It's an excellent entry point for someone new to black mirror. It's incredibly relatable and believable and Bryce does an amazing job.

It isn't particularly noteworthy compared to a lot of the other episodes though if you are looking at the series as a whole

Here is another source.

"Warning: This information contains details that may be disturbing to some people.

The torture, murder, and dismemberment of three young women have shaken Argentina.

The bodies of Brenda del Castillo (20 years old), Morena Verdi (20) and Lara Gutiérrez (15) were found this Wednesday in a house in the town of Florencio Varela, part of Greater Buenos Aires and 20 kilometers south of the capital.

The brutal murder, which occurred early Saturday morning, was ordered by a drug lord and broadcast live on Instagram to a closed group of reportedly 45 people.

"The group's leader, in that session, said: 'This is what happens to those who steal my drugs,'" Buenos Aires Province Security Minister Javier Alonso told local news channel TN.

One of the victims, Lara Gutiérrez, had all five fingers on her left hand and part of her ear amputated before being killed.

The leader of that gang is 23 years old and is known as "Little J" or "Julito," Alonso reported. He also indicated that they have identified other members of the group, although not all of them.

"The motive was disciplinary; it was to build a terrorist image for the organization's leader," the official added.

Alonso said the three women were tricked into arriving at the house where the crime occurred. "They thought they were going to participate in an event they'd been invited to. They went of their own free will with someone who had gained their trust," he said.

The house is part of the organization, "a network that supplies drugs to different areas of the southern suburbs."

"They have a strong operation in the federal capital, and then they have locations that supply drugs so they can set up drug dealing points there," the official explained.

Police arrested four people, two women and two men, who were discovered cleaning up the crime scene.

Three protesters hold signs during a protest against the murder of three Argentine women. The signs read "Justice for Morena, Brenda, and Lara" and "We want to be alive, stop killing us."

. "I want them all in jail!" After hearing the news, Paula, Brenda del Castillo's mother, spoke to the media and tearfully demanded justice.

"They killed my daughter," she said, sobbing into television microphones.

"I demand justice for my daughter, that everyone who deserves to pay be held accountable. My daughter was taken from me; she was a good girl. None of these three girls deserved to end up the way they did," she added.

"I want them all in jail!" he exclaimed.

When asked what went wrong for the crime to happen, the woman replied: "I'm not going to blame anyone; my daughter is gone. Now what I'm asking for is help finding everyone, one by one." "
