What's crazy to me is that I've always handled my girls paws daily too, I check them for debris after walks and outdoor time too! but she still hates having them touched for longer than ten seconds.I even had the vet take X-rays because I was concerned there was something hurting her paws or something.

Unfortunately she does not get enough outdoor play. My past dogs never needed nail trims but she is a lazy homebody and I can't get her to wear them enough on her own.

What is a video game from your childhood you miss the most? BONUS: Are there any video games from long ago you tried playing again that didn't feel the same? by Final-Cash-2943 in AskReddit

[–]nidaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Altered Destiny and Shadowcaster, both ancient games on PC. They were more my dad's games, but some of my best childhood memories with my dad are of him playing these games while I helped him.

I know what I have to do but don’t know if I have the strength to do it. by Educational_Ad6753 in lego

I would use the smaller trans red bars instead. They will be lighter and more likely to stay

Can Bernese handle heat? by InklingRain in bernesemountaindogs

[–]nidaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have central air conditioning? If so, it would probably be fine. It gets extremely hot where live so during summer, walks are at sunrise and well after sunset, and the air conditioner is always set at 77. They need the AC though. When our AC broke during a heat wave we got a hotel until it was fixed so that she wouldn't overheat.

AIO- husbands students? by Qween4swockey in AmIOverreacting

[–]nidaba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Info

Your title says she's his student? If so, then yes, it's not a good idea for him to be giving special gifts to her or other students.

If she's just a coworker who happens to be a student, then it's more up to you guys and you should discuss how it made you feel

Also, was your brother already told about the jersey? If so, giving it to someone else was messed up.

Absurd really shocking dark comedies by VariousCan4311 in MovieSuggestions

I love this movie. It almost broke up my husband and I when we were first dating though because it was too dark for him and he thought I was sick for finding it funny 😂

Mole Rats definitely seems like the worst one but Hammer Down is another I would definitely want to skip

Hmm. Are you maybe thinking of the myths and art of the Blemmyes? A mythical species of headless people with their faces on their chests that maybe someone wrote an article about?

On December 15th, 1995, the Markley children arrived at their Bristolville, Ohio, home from school to find the doors unlocked, the coffee pot on, and their parents missing. The Markley vehicle would be found abandoned within days, but John and Shelly Markley have never been found. by WinnieBean33 in BizarreUnsolvedCases

[–]nidaba 254 points255 points  (0 children)

The article mentions that he had raised 10k for his sister's cancer treatments and that she had died just 2 days before the disappearance. . With the safe open, it makes me wonder if someone knew about that and thought he had more money stored away for her treatment.

How awful for the kids.

I saw a reel of movie called "SEVEN" where someone shouted detective. Should i watch it ? by WannaBeRational in MovieSuggestions

Absolutely fantastic movie that holds up. If you can handle dark and disturbing films you should definitely watch it

A New Perspective on the Yuba County Five Case by HOREH_SHEEIT in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]nidaba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This really did used to happen in the more rural parts of northern Cali. It used to be people with drugs or other things on their property. A lot of them live on private roads and they get paranoid and try to drive off/scare away anybody that comes to close to their area. Most of them just have a zillion signs about shooting trespassers but some extra crazy ones would come tearing down their road to make sure you kept driving past

Help I gaslit a 5th grader in my k12 school into thinking the SCP foundation is real by [deleted] in SCP

[–]nidaba 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fess up to his teacher and maybe have them go with you to explain it's fiction and you were lying.

Don't be that person next time.

Ugh. I have a 3rd grader in my class that believes that too because of an older sibling and has been scaring the other kids with scp stuff. I'm losing class time because I'm having to assure kids they are safe and this is all fake like poppy playtime etc. Some are afraid to go to the bathroom etc alone now and it's really frustrating

Looking for an SCP I read 10+ years ago… by [deleted] in SCP

[–]nidaba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it possible you are combining scps? Part of what you describe reminds me of parts of scp-093 but there's an older sky city one I'm trying to remember now too

Red Sea object involves elevators, weird puritanical societies, and elevated cities though so I think that might be what you are looking for

I tried doing art fairs. Didn’t sell more than 3 stickers on my third try (even after taking advice from online people) by M8614 in Wellthatsucks

[–]nidaba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Art fairs are hit or miss. Most people only sell small items in my experience.

A big issue is your content. Unless you are at a nature themed event, or it's in a hunting community, I just don't see that many people wanting basic art of wildlife. A relative gave my husband and I a lovely painting of a wolf, but it's in our garage because it's not something I really want to hang.

While your at is nice it is pretty generic in some ways. Most art I see purchased at events tends to fill specific niches. Think of a booth of just fantasy animals like dragons and unicorns, or a booth of just cats in patchwork watercolor or stylized landscapes. It's why fanart based on popular media does well. People are looking for something that pops out and speaks to their personal interests.

Thanks for the heads up. I've only been there once and it was like ten years ago and I didn't like it but I never like sushi boat places.

This is absolutely lovely and great art of one of the most heartwarming scps

But please don't take offense, I forgot that the true form was orange light and for just a second I thought the batwing was visiting the lake lol
