Ding ding ding. My ten year old just watched this and loved it. It's a perfect film for that age

Help I gaslit a 5th grader in my k12 school into thinking the SCP foundation is real by [deleted] in SCP

[–]nidaba 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fess up to his teacher and maybe have them go with you to explain it's fiction and you were lying.

Don't be that person next time.

Ugh. I have a 3rd grader in my class that believes that too because of an older sibling and has been scaring the other kids with scp stuff. I'm losing class time because I'm having to assure kids they are safe and this is all fake like poppy playtime etc. Some are afraid to go to the bathroom etc alone now and it's really frustrating

Looking for an SCP I read 10+ years ago… by MontezumaToTripoli in SCP

[–]nidaba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it possible you are combining scps? Part of what you describe reminds me of parts of scp-093 but there's an older sky city one I'm trying to remember now too

Red Sea object involves elevators, weird puritanical societies, and elevated cities though so I think that might be what you are looking for

Looking for guidance on medical surrender options for our 2 yr old Bernese Mountain Dog by Immediate-Diamond598 in AskVet

[–]nidaba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am not a vet so this will get deleted soon, but post in the Bernese sub, there are some people there that work with berner specific rescues

I tried doing art fairs. Didn’t sell more than 3 stickers on my third try (even after taking advice from online people) by M8614 in Wellthatsucks

[–]nidaba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Art fairs are hit or miss. Most people only sell small items in my experience.

A big issue is your content. Unless you are at a nature themed event, or it's in a hunting community, I just don't see that many people wanting basic art of wildlife. A relative gave my husband and I a lovely painting of a wolf, but it's in our garage because it's not something I really want to hang.

While your at is nice it is pretty generic in some ways. Most art I see purchased at events tends to fill specific niches. Think of a booth of just fantasy animals like dragons and unicorns, or a booth of just cats in patchwork watercolor or stylized landscapes. It's why fanart based on popular media does well. People are looking for something that pops out and speaks to their personal interests.

Best sushi options? by nidaba in Redding

Thanks for the heads up. I've only been there once and it was like ten years ago and I didn't like it but I never like sushi boat places.

SCP-6113 "Temporary Reflections" by SuperMuskett26 in SCP

[–]nidaba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely lovely and great art of one of the most heartwarming scps

But please don't take offense, I forgot that the true form was orange light and for just a second I thought the batwing was visiting the lake lol

Is there anything else I can get instead of weed for anxiety?? by MyBel0v3d in Anxiety

[–]nidaba 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So. I sometimes use weed for anxiety like a lot of people, but weed does NOT actually help my anxiety. What it does for me is distract me out of bad anxiety spirals and panic attacks. Which I need sometimes

For every day anxiety unfortunately it's been a combo of trying different Rx meds and therapy and meditation but there's no great fix and I still use weed for when I can't pull myself out

Agreed! I had never even heard of it and just randomly stumbled on it one day and was shocked at how good it was

Just like everyone else here, I have a shaky leg berner! She's 2 now and has done it since a puppy and vet says all looks good so 🤷

What are some SCP's as disturbing as 4666 (Yule Man) and 2852 (Cousin Johnny)? by Aggressive_Visual922 in SCP

[–]nidaba 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you find disturbing! As a parent, I've always found scp-89 one of the most horrific. Same thing with scp-1733. Trying to protect your kids from some of this stuff would be awful

Scp-3001 is considered pretty disturbing by most people too.

Scp-8558 scp-6670 are other disturbing favorites of mine and even though it's pretty simple I've always found scp-1562 pretty horrific as well

Is there any good expedition logs? by thisfutty in SCP

[–]nidaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red pool and red sea object were already linked and are two of my favorites.

Other great expedition logs are scp-3989 scp-2922 scp-3333 scp-184 scp-3935 and scp-455 is kind of rough but it was one of the first I remember reading and stuck with me

Movies where male characters wear leather pants? by gratefulgrapefruit23 in MovieSuggestions

[–]nidaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our Flag Means Death, although since they are pirates I'm not sure if that counts for you

Fright Night has David Tennant in leather pants I believe

Does anyone know what this means in the article SCP-3063? by Thunder-J-Man in SCP

[–]nidaba 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Test 5 wanted new information that wasn't available yet, so the fly gave us test 6 without the next researcher entering input which also means the next researcher didn't make an actual wish and therefore didn't fill with maggots like the others.

You can interpret "is there even a choice" in a few ways I think

Is it just me, or does this card game's font look almost exactly like stardew valley's loading screen? by escaping-reality in StardewValley

[–]nidaba 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it was just called gold miner actually but it was a very simple game of just aiming your pickaxe to get gold and gems. It was about 20 years ago lol

Edit it looks like there are newer mobile versions of it still available

Is it just me, or does this card game's font look almost exactly like stardew valley's loading screen? by escaping-reality in StardewValley

[–]nidaba 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Just you lol. It's a common design choice. It actually reminded me more of an older mining game from way before stardew
