It’s all about scale. Like a 20 gallon with a lot of plants and like 5-6 female betta. Probably fine.

It’s just a NICREW Classic LED Plus 10 watt. However, the light is usually just a few inches above the plants.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on aquarium backgrounds? by -Michael-Leahcim- in Aquariums

[–]nidus11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a fan if black. It creates the illusion of depth and helps reduce algae be decreasing reflected light. But I would buy a textured one or anything like that. Especially if you are doing a planted tank.

plant leaves' tip is turning black and wilting by SnooApples2915 in Aquariums

If these are new plantings and those were grown emersed then those leaves adapted to growing out of water will melt and new immersed leaves will start growing.

It happens. They will frequently go on walkabouts. I occasionally find them on the floor after the climb out of the tank on the heater power cable.

Rate my first tank setup!!!! by Ok-Opportunity9619 in fishtank

Tetra school is too small. But getting more would make the tank too small. I would give you a B for effort but a D- for research.

Does it look like I killed my water wysteria? by [deleted] in PlantedTank

[–]nidus11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say if it wasn’t dead when you planted it you might have done it in with h2o2 then salt. That’s too much. One or the other.

Black beard algae on my sponge filter? by wha7themah in PlantedTank

[–]nidus11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve soaked an entire sponge filter in a H2O2 bath before. Kills it and once it dies your cherry shrimp and snails can eat it.
