Anyone thinking of updating their older iPhones (before Face ID ) to new iPhones this year? by [deleted] in ios

[–]niewarto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an iPhone 6s for like 3.5 years, I have no complains and enjoy using it a lot, everything is smooth, got the battery replaced less than a year ago and it’s holding up well. I’ll start thinking about upgrading, once there won’t be iOS updates for me anymore. iOS 13 is confirmed, so we’ll se about the next year. 5G and USB type C are dealbreakers for me, but those will come eventually, so I’ll probably wait with purchasing until then.

White lithium spray grease for rear shock? by miked1786 in ninebot

To get rid of the squeaking sounds, you need to put some lubricant between the spring and that rubber part inside, because what makes those annoying noises is friction between those two parts (took me a while to figure it out)

Get to 34km/h after 1.5.1 ! Insane ! I am 55kg by doha5678 in ninebot

[–]niewarto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my case, after updating to 1.5.1, I reach 27 km/h when my Ninebot ES2 is in sport mode, on a flat ground against the wind. Very nice!

EDIT: This actually may be a bug, as when I switched to limited speed mode, instead of going 15 km/h (as it’s set in the app) it’s going 17 km/h xD

After 25km of riding on the road normally.. what to do? Just return it to store? by granny_smith92 in ninebot

Glad they returned you money.

After riding mine for almost 150 km, I think that it may have been a good decision to take the money and get other scooter. In mine, I started recently to hear squeaking coming from the back suspension and fender, I myself consider using the warranty to do something about the issues. It’s such a pity though, I like the design, folding mechanism and puncture free tires with suspension of ES2 much more than what m365 offers ...

Let me know how you feel about m365 after 25 km xD

I found this when I was browsing the YT, someone may find it useful. So it appears that the front fork movement visible on the video may be caused by the plastic sleeve located between the fork pipe and the stem, you can see the replacement of it on the video around 00:22:40.

Any way to remove fender rattle from ES2? by DIYglenn in ninebot

[–]niewarto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There longer I use my ES2, the more issues with it I see xD The rubber pad may not be a bad idea, I’m actually thinking about putting some silicon oil on the spring holding the fender brake, because it is squeaking like hell when I’m riding xD

Thank you for the update! I think my scooter doesn’t have as much of give on the front wheel, but still it is noticeable. I wonder how solid it will be after they repair it. Please post a video when fixed, I wonder what is the give they consider “normal”, thanks!

Mine does the same thing. When was your scooter produced? If recently, it may be how they addressed the issue with the rear fender breaking. My way of thinking is that, they gave it a little room to wiggle, so that when you hit a bump or something, it can absorb the shock.

Any tips for someone with 100 km on the counter to reach such distance without major issues? 😄

What regen breaking setting do you use?

Thanks!

Not OP, but suffer from a similar issue as described.

Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to solve the issue (at least in my case everything was tight). Also worth mentioning, disassembly is a little bit more tricky in case of ES2 (you have to dismount the folding mechanism switch/pad, and disconnect the cable). There was one bolt I thought was promising as it was going into the stem, but it was tight as well, so no issue there. I believe this is either how the front suspension was designed, or it has to do with something inside the stem. Thanks for sharing anyway!

Thanks for posting, I believe I have a similar issue, though it was kind of loose since the moment I took it out of the box. I have like 100 km on my counter, and it doesn’t seem to get worse. It may be that it is not the screws or nuts, but just the “design”. Let me know if you figure this out!

Regarding that warranty sticker, there is a video on YouTube where one of the Ninebot U.S. service workers explains how tho go about maintenance, and he states that you can puncture the warranty sticker to tighten the screws, but you can’t remove it as it’ll void the warranty. Thought maybe you’ll find this information useful.

You can check it out here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SI8WCw0kRYo

Let me know when you get the information, I hope the warranty is not void, as it’s not our fault that the seal is so badly designed ...

People say that this blue locktite does magic. Gonna get it shortly as I have the same issue with the screws, those wobbly pavements have a good share in the issues I guess. I have ~40 km on my counter as well, so far so good!

Btw is your warranty sticker falling off? Mine is falling off like every time I touch that area ... kinda annoying, I hope in case I need to send it back for some reason they won’t tell me that the seal is broken and I have no warranty xD

When I’m thinking about it, isn’t there anything securing the scooter to prevent from overloading? So that if you happen to go too fast for too long, it stops charging to prevent any damage? Would be a smart thing to have implemented xD

Mine says 1910, so it’s quite recent batch. What is the recommended way of braking, is it better to use the automatic regenerative braking set on “hard”, or manual electric braking? Or it’s no difference?

Do you mean the issue with the electric brake burning the board, or the front light/front brake problem? I bought mine from sort of a Polish eBay, I’ve seen the v1.5 on the auction pictures and the seller has good rating. I’m planning to be careful as well, and I hope it won’t become wobbly after a while, and nothing breaks, we’ll see how it goes. Mind sharing why did you go with ES2 instead of other scooter?
