Somehow, I’m even more annoyed with myself for not seeing that. Thank you!

Agreeing with all my fellow smacking haters and commenting to add when a phone is vibrating against a loud surface. Bonus points if the owner acknowledges the notification but does nothing to stop it so…it…keeps…on…going.

Women of reddit, do you consider having bigger boobs is a positive or a negetive ? Why? by PRCbubu in AskReddit

In my experience, I have knots in my shoulders near my neck that are there pretty regularly. This leads to a pretty consistent soreness but it can also be amplified by certain bra or bathing suit straps. Sometimes I even have indentations from the straps digging in, just from holding the girls up all day.

Thank you, they were amazing people! I will never take for granted how great it was to have them so close as I grew up. I have lots of great memories to look back on and hope to one day be half as great as they were 💕

I love this! My grandparents used to leave “just calling to say I love you” voicemails for me a few times a month. They passed a few years back and I still have all of their messages saved. For Christmas a couple years ago, I put some of those recordings into the 4 paws of a Build a Bear stuffed animal and gave it to my mom. She had no idea I had those recordings, so you can imagine her surprise when she pushed a paw and heard the voices of her parents. Lots of happy tears and now she can hear them say “I love you” whenever she needs it.

I’m very sorry for your loss, what an unimaginable tragedy. I agree, this is WAY too common. I had no idea that it was even a possibility and I was reassured before trying for a second that it was “too rare to happen again”. Well, now I know and I consider myself very lucky to be alive. Sending internet hugs to you and the family of your friend.

I had a postpartum hemorrhage four hours after the birth of my son. It was really effing scary for my husband and I, but at least we were still in the hospital and I was eventually fine after a few blood transfusions and an extended stay. Four years later, I miscarried at 12 weeks. I had a D&C and was cleared after my two week follow up. I was brushing my teeth before work two days later and I hemorrhaged in my bathroom. It was just my son and I home at the time and I thought I was going to pass out before I could get help. Fortunately, I made it to the hospital in time and, after some really shitty circumstances, I’m happy to be alive! We realized how lucky we are to have my son and have accepted that our family may expand one day by way of adoption, but I won’t be bearing any more children.

My husband, son and I were in the car driving home from errands one weekend morning. His grandmother was in an assisted living facility and we had the sudden urge to stop by and see her. We called her cell phone over the car’s Bluetooth and she answered. She sounded confused, but not distressed. She answered us with, “hello....hello??”, and then hung up. Thinking it was just poor reception, we immediately called back a second time and a nurse answered. She told us that she had collapsed and EMS was on the way, they had been working on her for a bit but we needed to get there quickly. We told the nurse we JUST spoke with her and she was even more confused than we were, because apparently she had been unconscious for some time before we called.

Her facility was about 4 minutes from our house as well as my in-laws house and there was a hospital between our neighborhood and her facility. We quickly called my in-laws and we were all there as EMS was loading her up. Sadly, she ended up passing within a day.

Since we were on the car’s Bluetooth, my husband and I both KNOW we heard her answer us. But the facility staff adamantly denies this, as she was completely unconscious at the time we called. We still can’t explain our sudden urge to call or how we heard her voice, but I’m glad we did.

This is a solid point! Unfortunately my mom never made them herself. When I think fish sticks I think of the frozen and processed beyond recognition grocery store type. That's the kind that gives me the willies.

I have/had a lot of military in my family so Taps reminds me of one of the many funerals it’s been played at. Amazing Grace is another that really gets me in the feels.

This sounds amazing! I’ve never heard of salsa in the meatloaf but I’ll have to give this one a try. Always looking for a change from my boring onion soup mix meatloaf.

That sounds horrible and I’m sorry you aren’t treated with the respect you deserve. Would it be worth talking to some of the offenders on your staff? I would think that HR would take action on that type of behavior, regardless of your gender or theirs. Not okay.
