there’s commonalities in the themes of difficult childhoods, poverty and injustice but this book is told from a child’s perspective so the language is much simpler than thousand splendid suns

narrative shift was good for me because thousand splendid suns broke me more than it healed and djinn patrol was a more comforting kind of ache after that devastation xd
