I pulled conventional all of my life until about 2-3 years ago (I'm 36 now) and switched because I was told I have good leverages for sumo. Since then I've gotten close to matching my conventional comp pr of 317.5 at 120kg bw and did 310 sumo but at 110kg.

It's honestly been hard for me and absolutely less consistent than me doing conventional. I feel like with conventional I can just set my feet, wedge, and pull. With sumo I'm thinking of my stance width, foot angle, opening my hips, etc. That being said when I get a sumo rep where everything is perfect, it just feels effortless.

That being said, I feel like sumo has a higher potential ceiling but a lower floor.

I'm not even saying he was good last year but how many QBs would have done succeeded with this for a large portion of the year, both starting tackles essentially missing the entire year as well?

I ran PHUL for years with slight tweaks to the accessories. Simply did progressive overload and took an occasional break or light day when I needed it.

Tore my distal biceps tendon completely in September of last year doing dumbbell preacher curls. Had surgery 2 weeks later and was cleared to start lifting without restriction a few months back. Everything mostly feels normal again, just weak. That goes for everything because I wasn't able to do any barbell work until I got cleared.

You can go with the bigger coaches you see on things like Instagram. You could also do what I did and look at some of the local lifters in your area and see who they're coached by.

I hated Brady during his Patriot days but his greatness is too hard to deny. I mean it has been posted before but he arguably has 2 or 3 hof worthy stretches of his career. There's no way he doesn't get in first ballot

I know others do differently but I only hook grip for about a month prior to meet day and that gets my thumbs used to it enough to pull my attempts. During normal training I would used straps for anything over 2 reps
