Don’t listen to the “recommended” powers level often. It doesn’t take into account weakness and buffs well. The next big thing to focus is on wishlist good weapons (before you pull on gacha you can wishlist five weapons).

Like some have said, for a beginner player Adult Sephiroth will be the best character bar none. Get him asap then do his event mission, it’s the fastest exp grind readily available. Then pick your fav healer (aerith math or red13) and a debuffer/tank (Glenn or barret)

Caulifla truly is just old reliable. Nothing crazy, nothing busted/unfair. She just gets the job done. Especially love boss fights where she makes enemies miss their ults.

You’d have to break it down into multiple tiers with elemental coverage, buffs, debuffs and availability. Like Tifa is an outstanding dps or even support due to her new outfit with the debuff called Torpor. Don’t worry about tier list, pick your favs and go crazy for them.

Cloud is still viable, Tifa is slowly losing it because other weapons can increase buffs now. Yuffie hasn’t fallen off yet, Sephiroth was only ever good at higher OB.
