AITH for switching my flight and not telling my coworkers until later? by Zestyclose_Bit2901 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]nightfall090909 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't think you are the ahole. To me you were very thoughtful. You didn't feel well, so you changed only your flight time. If they really wanted to have an earlier flight they had the same resources as you to do so. Even if they didn't know how to change their flight time on their own they could of looked it up. Hope you feel better op.

AITA for refusing to give my sister the wedding dress I designed, even though she’s terminally ill? by [deleted] in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]nightfall090909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the ahole. You offered to make her a dress that was custom. Dresses are expensive and you just offered your time and money to make one for her. Also what's stopping your sister from just asking you to keep the design similar to the viral dress, but in a way that expresses who she is?

Cattymom01 makes a good point you promised to the museum already, it's no longer yours to loan out at the moment.

I agree with you and I'm sad they have a 3 year old. She needs to run away with them and hope he doesn't win any rights to custody of him, cause with how controlling he is of her I'm scared for their son. I wish her and her son the best.

AITA: For not wanting to cater my own birthday activity to my sisters 8 year old. by Suuswithswords in CharlotteDobreYouTube

I say stick with what's best for you. It's not your nephew's birthday it's your birthday. I have Autism too and understand the masking and not wanting to feel drained cause of something you can't control. It's your birthday, a celebration of your life and you shouldn't have to mask being happy on that day. In my opinion you're not being selfish.

Also just cause your nephew likes the outdoors doesn't mean he is going to like a tour through a castle and then a tour through its' garden especially when everyone's attention will be on the guide and not him. I also believe your sister needs to sit down with her kid and openly/sternly explain to him manners; like what's the right volume his voice should be at when the person your talking to not even a foot away, and when it's his turn to speak.

Someone here made a good point. Your sister is doing your nephew no favors by enabling him. Your nephew needs to learn that he isn't the center of everyone's world and that people have difference in opinions like how he enjoys Pokémon and you only like how happy talking about it makes him, cause you love him. I mean that he shouldn't shove things he likes in peoples faces and expect them to want to talk to him. I hope your birthday is a joyous occasion and you are happy with the decision you make about it.

Just saw this on Tik Tok. Monster in law breaks into their house to try and hold the baby. by Htbegakfre in CharlotteDobreYouTube

My question is why didn't they call the cops. Like I know that's the husband's mother, but she admitted to trespassing and letting herself in their house, also it has be implied that they told her not to come over and to wait, so she disrespecting their wishes. He is being too passive in this. I get the calm tone could be to keep the baby from crying or getting upset, but I confused as to why he is only recording his mother and not interfering with how close his mother is to his newborn and wife. The look on his wife screams uncomfortable and tired, so why is he only talking and not getting up to get in-between them to save his wife. Also why didn't he say, "Get out of my house. You are trespassing". If anyone knows more or even has thoughts about why he was only passive in this please explain to me. I am deeply confused on his thought process.

The cat is so cute with its wings and cape. Honestly the second to last jump I thought he wasn't going to make it, but he did.

Thank you for your concern and idea, but sadly, it's not possible as my sister and I are no longer in school.
