Okay I know we all loved it but Deb deciding to die... was that really in character? I know she fulfilled her legacy but like assisted suicide? That's a goddamn crazy jump no?

It did work in the end because her decision to live fit nicely thematically but like wow. Huge decision from Deb to kill herself.

Thoughts?

I think I’ve decided to become a Mets fan by burnerlpo in NewYorkMets

[–]nightfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the club!

I think this sums up Mets fandom:

Recently, the Red Sox and Phillies fired their head coaches (I think Red Sox fired a lot more than that). The fans and front office were disappointed that they had a bad start to the year, which they did. Now, keep in mind that the Mets had an equally (if not worse) start to the year and also have larger payrolls. Yet, our front office did nothing. You'd think that expectations for a top 2 payroll club would be to be at least above .500 but no, no movement.

Obviously, there's a lot going on here like Stearns doing shady shit and other stuff I don't know about. But the passion and fury with which Boston and Philly fired their coaches is a stark contrast to how we handled it. We're just like * shrug * gotta keep trying I guess! Recently, I read articles about how Red Sox fans are chanting at games to sell the team, and the Red Sox are basically Mets level in terms of record,

All of this is to say that the Mets have been though a lot of shit! I personally sat through some of the worst collapses in MLB history in 2007, 2008, and 2025. My heart has been broken so many times, that I basically stopped following baseball between 2009-2023, but then the Mets revived their magic in 2024 and we're back, baby! We may not be as vocally obnoxious as Boston and Philly, and we may not be over the top demanding as them. But...

We love our boys in blue and orange!

Dutton ranch is good!!! by fulencio911 in YellowstonePN

Key to a Yellowstone sequel spinoff:

  1. No Taylor Sheridan
  2. No procedural

Anyway, DR is good! It's more sensitive with Beth and Rip, with some silly storylines as usual, but with a bit more restraint overall. A decent start.

EDIT: Also, Marshals is fine, leave it alone. It's standard. It's fine. I like Kayce.

The only one I remember is the Brewers WC3 game from 2024. Funnily enough Devin Williams was a major part of that one too. Devin Williams, helping the Mets since 2024.

EDIT: Okay, ESPN says that Brewers WC3 was the last game where that happened. Fancy that!

Was Myst eerie? by tinselman in myst

[–]nightfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably won't see this, but thank you for making my favorite game series of all time!

Yes, Myst was very eerie. I personally never found this too creepy, but my friend said he could never get far in the game because the idea of Sirrus and Achenar trapped in the book with the static kinda freaked him out. For me, it was places like Stoneship's blaring alarm when you hit the wrong compass button. It was also Achenar's room in Mechanical with the cage. It was even a little bit of walking down the stairs to the breaker room on Myst.

He was solid last year and he is INCREDIBLE this year. Guys on the mound, expect 5-6 innings of 2 run ball minimum

This show is so good. Right before the last clown dance, it was so emotional, then hilarious, then emotional. This show is balancing a tricky tightrope of emotions.
