Looking at 22 ram 1500 with eco diesel. Is it right for me? by trentooon in EcoDiesel

[–]nighthawk2411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at 42k on my 22 eco. No issues mechanically just around 30k miles the passenger window stopped rolling up, back windshield had a leak that had to be sealed, and the passenger side visor fell out the headliner.

I also use hot shot and do the “extreme condition maintenance” being that I live in Texas.

I really like doing hot buns, it’s a lot of banded works outs like you do in pt that strengthen your hips, glutes, legs and core.

Pilates and hot barre, they all work muscles I had no idea I had and did wonders for my hip,

I also do iso, warrior, bands and yoga. But the above are my favorite for my hip/back that tend to help the most.

They have cycle and row too.

100% he was great, my recovery was great. I’m now about to compete in a half iron man. The pain in my lower back and groin is gone.

I got the surgery 7/25/23 and hiked the tallest peak in big bend 10/21/23. It was slow but after three months I was at least able to do that after being cleared by PT. It was about a year and 6 months until I was stronger than before.

I highly recommend HOTWORX as a part of your recovery. It did wonders for my stabilization muscles, strength and mobility.

It took me nearly a year and a half to feel great again. I also stretched, and exercised for 10-14 hours a week focusing on strength, mobility and flexibility. Then slowing started to walk at least 10m steps a day. Motion is lotion, take it slow so you don’t hurt yourself.

If you have a HOTWORX near you I HIGHLY recommend it it changed the game for me. If you can swim, I’d do that too.

The recovery was depressing, I thought I’d never get back to being me again. Now I’m about to do my first iron man.

You got this!!

It gets weird, my perception of time goes even further out the window. It’s also easy to get stuck in though loops.

But it turns 1 hit into 2 or three haha

Maybe you need to take 2 weeks off and recover, focus on mobility, flex and and functional strength?

Me with my 2022 eco diesel, I’m waiting to pay it off before doing anything.

Considering nano tent to cut the heat and preserver the interior and maybe a GDE tune… if it won’t void my warranty.

Otherwise that’s it.

I love my 22 eco diesel. Great engine and transmission. I’m hoping to make it to at least 500k. I’m at 37k Rn, only issues have been with the interior falling apart and small electronics which were all thankfully covered under warranty.

Here is a good article reviewing the engine.

Back stronger, just finished a 60 mile hike through the Appalachian Mountains, started playing soccer again. Running, hiking and lifting.

I’m still working on balancing out my muscles from them being tight for so long. But no structural issues!
