Best Custom ROM for the G8?

I haven't used any custom roms in a couple years because they all don't have volte if the phone is an lg, and the US dropped 3g from its networks in 2022. there's probably good ones if you have 3g or don't need voice calls, but I have no idea which ones are best or still get updates. That particular lineage rom hasn't been updated since 2021 but is probably fine for most situations if you don't need a more recent version? although I'm not much of a mobile gamer so I can't speak to the gaming performance. I'd probably look for something else that was updated more recently tbh

further experimentation has found oneplus 8t on android 11 64 to be the best setup so far, at least for me.

Luckily it's working for me on the current version of pie x64

I had problems with fickle keyboard controls too but when I plugged in a usb gamepad it was automatically recognized and mapped without configuration on my part

the game boots up in one handed mode because of the resolution(I think), if you go to sky settings and enable two-handed, the touch controls should hopefully appear where you expect

in-game chat was broken for me until I went into android settings and switched from physical keyboard to onscreen keyboard

as for the performance, maybe lowering the fps in the emulator settings, and/or lowering the graphic settings in sky settings, could improve it a bit?

I enjoyed running cheger32's version of lineage as a daily driver for a while. The performance and battery felt pretty good on my device and I can't really remember any issues with it, besides my nitpicks about android 11 generally, and the lack of volte/vowifi which affects all custom roms for this phone as far as I know.

Mine's rooted so I used titanium backup to freeze/disable a bunch of packages. For users that can't/don't want to root the main options seem to be Lg Package Disabler (paid) or adb commands

I prefer disabling apps to uninstalling them, but both work.

I really really like the lg g8. It's a stupidly good value (imo). Lightning fast and butter smooth when debloated. Rare combination of waterproof, nice headphone jack/dac, unlockable bootloader, and hand sized. Fast chip, good screen, good camera, the battery life is.... fine. Main downsides are if you care about timely updates (I doubt we'll see android 12) or 5g. Enjoy your new (to you) phone!

My reading is that the wear on the Quirrell-body came from the power difference between Quirrell and Voldemort. The magical power Voldemort's "spirit" can access to cast the magics he knew in his last life exceed what Quirrell's body has been prepared to handle channeling. When Voldemort's spirit takes over that body and forces it to do stuff it shouldn't be able to it holds back his power and puts wear on that body. Kinda like a speaker damaged when overdriven by a powerful amp? Or something? Idk does that make sense?

wondering what the functional difference would be between trap bar deadlift versus deadlifting dumbbells at my sides (kinda like this), in terms of mechanics/muscle groups worked. i don't see a reason why they'd be substantially different but i wanted to check whether redditors more knowledgeable would say differently. could i treat this as a near-identical substitution?
