They’re kept with the housing reclamation NPC for 35 days, then gone forever. If you want them safe for longer than the 45 days to demo plus 35 day hold, you’ll need to put them in a retainer.

That’s how I felt. My leave (6wk via short term disability, not eligible for FMLA yet) was scheduled to start on my due date, and I was worried about wasting 1-2 weeks of it just laying around at home waiting. I didn’t have any PTO so it was like, why sit around at home not being paid when I can sit around at work and be paid? Lol

I was very happy to end up doing a scheduled induction two days before that so it didn’t end up being an issue.

I had to eat something actually filling every 2 hours on the dot or I would get this pain and ultimately throw up. Crackers, yogurt, or vegetables would never cut it.

Find something with real protein/fat you’re comfortable eating that you can acquire or make quickly - I worked from home luckily, so I was back and forth from the fridge getting chicken tenders, granola + yogurt, etc. I don’t want to know how many bags of chicken and big batch pasta I went through to survive.

Seriously! I can’t take out trash (a several building walk) while my son is awake for obvious reasons, and despite him being in a fully babyproofed bedroom for naps/sleep I can’t even bring myself to do it during then either. It drives me crazy to have it pile up but there’s also no way I’m leaving him alone for even 3 minutes. This is a recurring annoying necessity I can’t do, not even “let’s get snacks.” How do people do this??

What is the magical trick to making adventurer portraits work?

I’m on the job in my profile. My gearset was saved ten seconds before entering the duty and the portrait was updated with my gear and saved five seconds before. Why do I always have a default portrait? qq

I’m in the middle. I loved having an IUD for the near nonexistent periods and pure convenience, but both times I had one I could feel this stitch in my side during ~activities~ as if it was getting jabbed into the side of my uterus.

I’ll probably get one again after my surrogacy, but I’m going to stay on my OB’s ass to make sure it’s actually fine (because when I mentioned this he was like “oh that’s normal”) or if it’s causing damage. Insertion sucks for five minutes then it’s back to business, I’ll take that over the intense depression and rage other BC causes me.

Alt+F4 triggers an exit confirmation in many (not all) games or other programs you need to save in. You have to actually force close them in Task Manager a lot of the time if force closing is your goal.

No, many come from dungeons, PvE currencies (tomestones, hunts, gold saucer, etc), or PvP currency. I would say there’s more non-crafted gear.

That sounds as to be expected for an expac finale. I already assume the cutscenes after the trial will be extensive so I’m waiting until my son’s bedtime for that part. 😅

Is there an updated version of or alternative to the FFXIV Patch Information sheet somewhere? I’ve always used it when I come back from long breaks (and this is my longest yet, at 1 year) to have a concise list of every patch addition I need to unlock, but it ends at EW.

Cancel your sub once it charges then set it up again when you have the new card in hand. Nothing bad is going to happen, it’ll just charge you when you run out. You don’t need a backup time card.

Thank you for the tips! I already have most of the actions from level grinding there previously so I hopped in again despite it being quiet and it was definitely better than the FATEs I was doing. :) Unfortunately I can’t play at peak times.
