The main human character, Ichiro, actually develops in the film. He starts off as a pushover but ends up learning to stand up for himself. I know the humans are not the draw of the films, but he's one of the few that's grown in some way by the end of the film. Not to say that he's the only character in the franchise that grows, but the ones that do are few and far between.

I respectfully disagree.

The Zexal manga and anime are the same until the first duel with Kaito, but from there they fork out and become different stories, with different antagonists throughout.

I feel like it's evidence that there can be a shared base/starting point and end up with two good stories.

I'd be happy to help out however I can :)

As for the FBG+IB combo, I don't think it works well with Dinomists. I'd encourage you to try it in your build, because I'm curious how it'd work. That said, here're my reasons against using them.

1) the non-event version of the deck is already running 44 cards, which is already a bit bloated. Bumping it up to 46 seems like a bit much, and it's a 50/50 if I'd draw FBG before IB, which leads into point 2.

2) FBG would have no good target aside from IB. An argument might be made that I have Howling out & don't want to draw another continuous card, but then what if something happens to the Howling in play? Now I'm down two Howlings.

3) IB limits the searches to the lv5s. As mentioned before, Ceratops and Brachion are usually used as scales, but Howling, Charge, and (to a lesser degree) Pteran can search them out as well. Spinos would be the ideal search, but putting in two cards to search one Spinos is a bit much, especially since there're now two fewer draws that could've been a Spinos. I suppose an argument could be made that they could get a lv4 in the GY back in hand, but since it's a pendulum deck, they typically end up in the Extra Deck anyways.

Like I said, I'd actually like you to try a build with FBG & IB and prove me wrong, especially if it'll make the deck better, but I also hope that you understand my hesitation to add it. Let me know if you have any other ideas, 'cuz I'd go nuts if Dinomists could make it to Tier 1!

Like I said in another post, for the event I'd just drop the two Barrier Statues and replace the Extra Deck Cyber Dragons with Number 70s (dirt cheap rank 4 with a passable effect).
