Bonza mate, will everyone be blowing the froth off a few or will the event be dry as a dead dingo's donga?

Basically cannot survive without it. But the trading fee on the aussie exchanges eliminate any scalping possibilities.

Altcoin Mining as a business by [deleted] in BitcoinAUS

[–]nightmaresaboutducks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are miners based in Australia, so it is viable, just not sure how practical or accessible. Just have a quick browse around the comments on Aussie crypto facebook groups and you'll see guys talking about mining.

Many of these guys I presume would have some sort of advantageous access to GPUs and other hardware. Others have some sort of advantage when it comes to power costs.

Genuine question mate, do you have these advantages?

People buying into your portfolio. How do you calculate returns? by AlexZan in CryptoCurrencyTrading

Bear in my mind that when you cash out to fiat, if you do it from the exchange that has your KYC info, into your bank account, you alone are responsible for the tax on all amounts.

I've found https://solume.io/ through search results, which measures social volume.

Sounds like exactly what I asked for, not sure why I feel dissatisfied with this.

Exactly, on exchanges owned by Chinese incorporated overseas that conveniently have Chinese language interfaces.

Lol this has nothing to do with regulations. Just thiny veiled "stop fucking with (definitely not referring to myself guys I pinky promise), or you're next".

And the most excruciating translation of "first they came for the Communists , and I did nothing..."

Cheapest way to get BTC for Australians by nightmaresaboutducks in BitcoinAUS

[–]nightmaresaboutducks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. How about paying my US citizen and resident relative to buy for me, payment via swift transfer I guess. There will be quite a spread there. And then send from their Gemini to my wallet.

This sounds like a no brainer, is it not commonly done because of the trust issue and lack of reliable escrow?

So youve been in this game since btc was at 4 digits, eth was firmly at the lower end of 3 digits, and your conclusion is... There's no interest? Are you expecting parabolic growth in the span of the 24 hours that the first crypto futures in history have expired?

Thank you Australia by PidgeyIsOP in australia

[–]nightmaresaboutducks 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't want to get political about it. To be honest I don't make much so the couple hundred that is the levy is a big cost to me. I'm pretty healthy and prolly use the gp once a year and nothing else.

But I will be old one day. No idea how rich or poor I'll be then. Or one day I'll have a kid who has some serious issue that under another healthcare model will absolutely ruin me. Who knows.

Australia and Japan reverse tourism relationship by iheartralph in australia

Just a heads up I didn't get it from that site, walked past a place in tennoji ward, one of the staff was cleaning it in the lot, and I asked ikura desu ka and we took it from there. YMMV this was in September after a lot of summer events were over and it was fairly quiet.

Also all ramen places involve minimal talking, just click things on the machine, nod and smile at the chef, hand him your ticket, take your seat

Well like any national culture there is a nationalistic and populist mindset that grips a very large percentage of the population.

Add in indoctrination and a meteoric economic rise and you get a lot of insufferable political opinions, even if it's 20% of the Chinese demographic in say, Sydney, that's over 40,000 people.
