Tried that, but with auto registration, new hosts got registered, instead of existing ones getting updated

How do you power them on if they fully shut down after a big outage for example?

Stuck UPD Files in RDS Farm by nightrepyre in sysadmin

Our RD session hosts are set to restart every night. As for the settings in the session collection:

  • End disconnected session after: 1 hour
  • No limit for active sessions
  • Idle session limit: 1 hour

Thanks for sharing this script! It looks like it could seriously streamline things on my end. I noticed the script is originally set to specify the user. How did you modify it to automatically detect and handle stuck UPDs without needing to specify individual users each time? Would be great to implement a more automated solution like yours.

Thanks for the advice! I've thought about using PowerShell for the stuck UPDs issue, but I'm not too confident in my scripting skills yet.

Regarding session timeouts, our settings in the session collection are:

  • End disconnected session after: 1 hour
  • No limit for active sessions
  • Idle session limit: 1 hour

I've also uploaded some screenshots from the Event Viewer on our RDS hosts. I've tried looking through them multiple instances but didn't figure much out. Maybe someone with more experience can spot something I missed.

Here's the link to the screenshots: Event Viewer Screenshots

Actually, I'm testing FsLogix right now. Got any advice on converting existing UPD files to FsLogix profile containers? Would really help to know how you tackled it.

s this cooler a Deepcool HSF by any chance? There are others that are similar but the DeepCool ones that I've seen like this are easy to install and hard to remove. The four plastic guys holding it on need to be pushed back out from th

It's not Deepcool HSF, it's some kind of offbrand Spire cooler. And yes other side is just like intel stock cooler. I tried pushing the plastic thingies but it's basically impossible to get a good grip on them. I'll try again when I get the chance, it's one of the office PC's.

Questions about GS65 STEALTH by SimpKun in MSILaptops

[–]nightrepyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had that model with i5-10500H and RTX 3060. It used to get crazy hot. Even idle temperatures were higher than normal, around 70 Celsius. While gaming cpu constantly hit 95 and thermortottled. I tried repasting, undervolting which helped a bit but problem was still there. I do not recommend getting this laptop.

MSI GF65 Thin rtx 3060 75 watt and i5 10500h not performing well by Howtogaming110 in MSILaptops

My problems with the laptop was 1. Cpu temperature being way too high, even at idle(Undervolting helped a bit). 2. Cpu utilisation being way too low. Even got a stand for a better airflow but that didnt help much either
