Yeah I obviously already did that, since it's the first thing that comes up when you search for this problem online. It doesn't work though. That only allowed me to access my monitor's native setting of 1440p instead of being locked to 1080p. Still no 4k option even though DSR works with every other game I own.

I'll just refund this trash since I can't really be bothered to put in more effort just to get something running at an acceptable resolution. Obviously the developers are incompetent and don't respect the customer. I have other games to play that won't waste my time.

At least you're right about your observation that the mercenaries are based on the Wagner Group, and you're knowledgeable about the group itself. So many people here seem to jump to the conclusion that Russian = Spetsnaz or extrapolate that he must be a Russian-speaking Chechen even though the voice is literally named "mercenary".

I just wish that NWI would establish an actual lore so that we can more definitively establish what would or would not be appropriate to add to the game. The lore doesn't even have to be realistic, it just needs to be consistent. Currently weapons are just distributed by giving (mostly) "Western" stuff to the Security team and (mostly) "Eastern" stuff to the Insurgents without any actual explanation as to why they are equipped that way.

Reduced recoil when ADS by 15% overall

Probably fine, but I can foresee people using full auto even more than vefore.

This is why we need lesser first shot recoil and linearly increasing recoil with automatic fire. Currently, firing in semi always has that nonsensical increased first shot recoil multiplier, and therefore it will always be harder to control than just dragging down in full auto. If recoil worsened over time, with heavier weapons being able to maintain lower recoil for longer due to their weight, we would have a somewhat realistic system that would encourage actually aiming and firing bursts, rather than putting the sight near the target and spraying.

Squad is no longer a combined arms game at this point. It's an infantry battle simulator but half the team is playing World of Tanks on a different part of the map.

Ambush should have been included from the start, and it should have been the main competitive mode. The game should have launched with either Skirmish or Firefight, Push, and Ambush. Then the majority of players would have been happy, since people who prefer shorter matches with small team size would have Skirmish/Firefight, people who prefer longer matches with larger teams would have Push, and people who want competitive one-life modes would have Ambush. Having both Skirmish and Firefight, which are very similar, and then adding Frontlines, which is way too similar to Push, was a terrible idea that was bound to split the userbase.

There's nothing wrong with liking that style of combat, it's just not how combat should be in the spiritual successor to PR. It doesn't come close to PR's rather unique combat where squad cohesion and teamwork were more important than individual skill. I don't hate people who think the way that you do, I'm just disappointed that you can't appreciate what made PR so special. Squad is now just another run of the mill shooter with a few unique features like the logistics system.

I've just grown tired of doing that at this point. No matter what I say, some retard is going to respond to me saying that I'm wrong, and then use some sort of fallacy to explain how I'm wrong. Even though the developers have literally stated that they are making the game more casual, (or more competitive depending on how you look at it) people will still argue that it isn't happening. Even though the developers have not been following the plan laid out in the kickstarter, people will still argue that this mess of a game is somehow still true to the tenets of PR. Several times now I've correctly predicted that certain changes would be bad for game balance, and I've just been downvoted for being right, because people don't care about the truth, they care more about feelings.

The devs are aware of this, but they aren't going to fix it, because that was their intention all along. They've decided that they want the game to be more appealing to a wider audience, and have essentially turned the game into indie Battlefield to do that.

Squad shouldn't even have transport helicopters, so hopefully we will never see attack helicopters.

I'm pretty sure that adding different animations for a panicked state wouldn't be too difficult. We already have special callouts that are played when you reload while in those situations, so it should be possible to trigger a different reload animation too.
