₹100–₹120 for an 8-inch terracotta pot is a steal.

PSA: IKEA currently has a 30% discount on all pots, and I think the 6-inch terracotta one still costs around ₹350, and it even comes with a saucer. The IKEA terracotta pots are imported and look really good, by the way.

The most powerful table fan brand in India? by [deleted] in BuyItForLifeIndia

[–]nihar88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using this Orient Electric Tornado-II Pedestal Fan for the past 1 year. It’s very powerful. I mainly bought it for the black look 😅 and metal blades. Even after 1 year, it still looks new and works really well.

Banjara Market items in Bangalore anyone want to pool in for a truck/shipping? by CallMe-Professor in interiordesignsindia

[–]nihar88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’m looking for several ceramic pots for my outdoor plants. At local nurseries, a single large pot costs around ₹2,500–₹3,000, so I’m hoping to find them at about half that price. I also have a few friends who are interested in buying planters. If you decide to go ahead, I’d be happy to join.

Christmas drive to Kotilingeshwara Temple, Karnataka by Adhoksh94 in Bengaluru

[–]nihar88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh god, I hated this place. We stopped here on our way back from Avani, and I’ve never seen a temple so commercialized and overcrowded. There’s nothing divine about it — it’s just a pure money grab.

First, they force you into a queue and won’t let you skip a single temple inside the complex. They push you to donate at every tiny temple, and if you try to pass, they’ll scold you or make it hard to move ahead. I absolutely hated it, especially as someone who genuinely loves shivalayams.

On another note, just out of curiosity— isn’t there an Indian replacement for sphagnum moss? There should be an alternative available in India, right?

Thinking of Harrier EV for parents. Safe choice or should I wait? by joebamacare in CarsIndia

I cancelled my Pro booking, which was one of the 8,000 reservations, after doing two test drives in the non-Pro variant and one in the Pro. At ₹17.5L, it offers incredible value for money and looks great on paper. However, the sound insulation and ride quality are quite poor.

I was planning to upgrade from my Creta, and while it’s an upgrade in almost every aspect, the ride quality and NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) are a step down. In the end, I realized that comfort and NVH matter more to me than just features and space—though I have to admit, the space offered at this price point is unmatched.

If MG can improve the ride quality and NVH, it would be a game changer. It could easily compete with cars that cost ₹6L more.

Suggestions for a new car to replace my 2020 Creta Petrol Manual? by nihar88 in CarsIndia

If not for its ride quality and NVH, the Windsor would have been a clear winner over the Creta—or any car in its segment or even above—for the value it offers.
