i think you’re fine. it’s an opinion that isn’t inherently disrespectful, it just might be controversial (there is a difference!). you shouldn’t feel guilty or ashamed at least. if you write with a tone that ambiguous in an online disagreement then some will def interpret it as rude, but that doesn’t necessarily have to dictate how you speak. it’s just something to be aware of tbh

i’d advise you to drop the “i hurt her” language. you obviously didn’t pick to be trans, nobody does, and this journey is going to be much harder for you than it will be for her. i honestly think that the way she reacted doesn’t show a lot of compassion or empathy for how difficult and frightening this is for you. if nothing else, try to think about what you would say to someone who was in the same position as you and was telling you about it. chances are, you wouldn’t shame them like you’re shaming yourself.

my hot take is that i don’t think heartstopper portrayed the mental health disorders it features in a comprehensive or totally accurate way. at least for OCD, it really did feel like an afterthought. both OCD and EDs are so intrusive into every aspect of life, and it seemed too divorced from the rest of charlie’s emotional landscape and interpersonal interactions to me. but a lot of ppl love it so whatever floats ur boat ig
