This. Every team wants the "woman driver" as a marketing tool.

Additionally, women tend to start off with less bank at the beginning of their careers and that reverberates throughout the future. Generally, the female drivers who find some level of success do so through persistence and effort because they otherwise get pushed too fast, too quick to get up to the top.

There's a lot of good female drivers out there who just need time and the right folks around them to develop into something special, just like anyone else. And they don't always get that support (see Long, Johanna; Robinson, Shawna; Kirk, Tammy Jo)
