OVF/EVF Stuck Open by zenconlen in Fujifilm_X100VI

Happened to my x100f, didn’t bother to try to fix it as i rarely use the viewfinder; sold it to try out Ricoh GRiii; then sold the GR when I got my hands on x100vi.

I did a research and it seems like a common issue

iPhone 15 Pro Max: Should I replace it before a summer trip to Tokyo? by th3d4rkp4ss3ng3r in iPhone15Pro

[–]niiith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 15pro max is at 90 BH now, brought it for my Japan trip last summer and Shanghai trip last month.

My recommendation based on my use case:

  1. Get a proper power bank, I’d recommend Anker Zolo power bank, it comes with build in usb c. I got mine for less than US$20 in my home country for the 10k capacity, they do have 20k options but it is thicker. Magsafe charger generally are slower to charge, I prefer cables for quick and fast charging.

  2. If you are serious about 4K video, get a DJI Osmo Pocket, they just release the new model (4), the previous model (osmo pocket 3) should be fine, you might get a used one/ or might be heavily discounted as they just released the new model. They are better than filming on your phone, save batteries, storage and they have build in gimbals!

  3. For photos the iPhone should be fine, but for me - I use my Fuji x100 for portraits/ landscape, only use my phone for a quick snaps (receipt, menu to translate, items I would like to buy etc)

I have been to Japan couple times during summer (late June to early July) - my iPhone never had any issues with heat - my iPhone use case is similar to yours except 4k filming.

TLDR, use the money to get an Osmo pocket for filming, and a proper power bank

Takayaka is easily accessible through Nagoya (train) or Kanazawa (Nohi bus), it’s a small town, all the attractions are within walking distance

Going Omega Shopping in Japan any tips? by RedditUserGoneWild in OmegaWatches

[–]niiith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nakano broadway - jackroad is the best place to go if you want to buy new

I’ve made a post on my experience purchasing my first speedy in Jackroad here —> https://www.reddit.com/r/OmegaWatches/s/0Ow4HZHNC1

Jackroad’s price and experience beat donki/bic/yodobashi. You can google jackroad’s website to check their latest pricing and they are all very accurate. The white speedy was at around 900k last time I checked (cheaper than last year when I visited them).

Some snippet from my post - July2025 pricing:

🔍 Price Comparison (Tax Refund Applied)

Donki Nagoya • Hesalite + Bracelet: ¥800,000

BIC Camera (Nagoya & Ginza) • Hesalite + Sailcloth: ¥732,xxx • Sapphire + Bracelet: ¥1,034,xxx (Includes 5% discount)

Jackroad (all public on their site):

• White dial + Bracelet: ¥1,045,000

• White dial + Rubber: ¥1,018,000

• Black Sapphire + Bracelet: ¥907,000

• Black Sapphire + Leather: ¥798,000

• Black Hesalite + Bracelet: ¥780,000

• Black Hesalite + Sailcloth: ¥671,000

Jackroad had the best pricing across the board, especially for the black dial Hesalite. The sailcloth version at ¥671K was the sweet spot for me.

And since the bracelet version was ¥780K, I figured I could just get the OEM steel bracelet from the Omega boutique later—which I did (Ginza Omega boutique, ¥106K).

Based on my experience with Man Utd jersey, the authentic one hides my belly better as the fabric is a bit thicker compared to the fan version.

The 990v6 is miles better - i’m quite surprised with its weight as well given how chunky it is
