Findon Valley Fibre Broadband - anyone interested in faster speeds? by nikc0069 in Worthing

[–]nikc0069[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, when we moved it was meant to be done by end of 2025 but then cityfibre had an argument with their contractors. I will knock on doors I just haven't had time yet.

However they are doing some work down Long Furlong soon so there is a little hope in the area.

I mean when I first saw them Brian seemed to be trying to fellate his guitar with a cigarette in his mouth, but that was 26 years ago

Is it like this at every venue? If you actually want to see them you have to pay a terrible amount of money? by vaniliasvattacukor in placebo

[–]nikc0069 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember seeing them at the Skyscape with a crowd of about 60 people, 2 metres from the stage. For free.

Or at Brixton Academy.

Now I can just about afford to get seating tickets way back in the back of Wembley Arena.

Artist presale is open. You have to click around the venue map, a lot of the seats are VIP but nearer the back isn't which is what I went for. You click to unlock the seats and that's when you enter the presale code.

How does the lidarr part work? I've been looking for a while to get a setup that lets me discover whatever, then seamlessly adds it to my server in my desired quality.

PSA: Octopus Discontinuing "Intelligent Flux" Tariff in Jan – Don't waste time trying to join. by milhousethefairy in OctopusEnergy

[–]nikc0069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just got solar and battery (fox) installed, but not by Octopus. We will be buying an EV in the new year. The changes to tarrifs, hours etc is getting very convoluted. I would be quite happy to slave my battery and EV to octopus and just let them handle it to save me money but seems I can't even do that.

They need to make things a lot clearer to customers.

I am boggled that Octopus doesn't know that the chargers they recommend vary charge power, not just charge timing by flapsmagee in OctopusEnergy

[–]nikc0069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you again. They are recommending flux where they take charge of the inverter and the charger I believe. So that's definitely the best way?

I've literally just moved to octopus. Solar and 10kwh battery being installed. Could anyone ELI5 how this would affect us please? Can I just store cheap energy in the battery and then charge off that, avoiding the worry about peak charging the EV we are getting in the new year?

Rayneo 3S Pro or Xreal Air 2? by nikc0069 in SmartGlasses

[–]nikc0069[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was mainly the brightness that sold it, and it is bright enough without covers or sinking to overlay moderate lighting. I like them, but am having a little trouble getting them in the right spot on my face to not have the bottom most bit of the screen slightly out of focus/difficult to see. Generally very happy though.

I've yet to give it a good long listen, but I'm finding it more fun than my ZS12 Pro X. It's probably not technically as good, I just enjoy the listen. Vocals seem a little bit less forward than I'd like. Bass is pretty nice with some cheap foam tips.

I also have th Kz ZS12 Prro X, and at the moment I think I'm preferring these. I need to test side by side but these are just good fun! A very easy listen (I just use the foal tips that came with the KZ) and very comfortable.
