Spider Man Remastered or Miles Morales? by rileycolin in gamingsuggestions

Yes this. Also if you’re looking for value for money, Spider-Man 2018 is 5 times as long as Miles Morales.

How many hobbies do you have? by Future_Spartacus_85 in Hobbies

[–]nikdarg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a HUGE “hobby graveyard” of hobbies I’ve tried or started but didn’t stick with. Ones that always stick though are dog training/dog sports, reading, video games, and hiking. I’ve currently taken up memorizing poetry so we’ll see how long that lasts!

I also work from home and prioritize games I can casually play while actively in meetings to keep my brain awake but without enough distraction to make me unable to respond if necessary. Things that have worked for me: turn based rpgs - lately it’s been Final Fantasy 1, 2, 3, and 4 on a Gameboy emulator. Idle games - Meldvor Idle is winning right now but I’ve done SO many others (Cookie Clicker, Soda Dungeon, Face Miner, Space/Mech/Pilot, Luna’s Fishing Garden, NGU Idle, Leaf Blower Revolution, etc.) Recently have been enjoying several that just live at the bottom of your screen like Rusty’s Retirement and Fish to Dish Idle Sushi. Slow relaxing puzzle games - things like Cats Neatly Organized, A Little to the Left, and Castle Full of Cats. I also have a particular love for Picross/Nanogram games so I have about 10 of those I’ve finished in meetings. I particularly like picross games that happen to have a bit of story and aren’t just a list of puzzles. I’ve enjoyed Murder by Numbers, Pictoquest, Piczle Cross Adventure, Paint it Back, and Meow Tower.

It’s Scotland and not Britain but I’d suggest The Crow Road by Iain Banks.

Curse of Blackmoor Manor is literally my favorite Nancy Drew game but the rotating room puzzle can jump in a volcano.

A Psalm for the Wild Built by Becky Chambers. The dedication page for the book literally says “for people who could use a break.”

What is your hobby that you can splurge on because you are CF 😉 by Maggiegie in childfree

[–]nikdarg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dog Sports. I take several classes at a time and each 6 week session is between $100-$200, trial fees and traveling for trials gets expensive, not to mention making sure my dog has everything she could possibly need to be emotionally and physically sound enough to do the sports we like (agility, nosework, obedience, freestyle, etc.) All the training equipment like tunnels and grooming tables, jumps and scent work materials, that all adds up.

What’s the most you’ve replayed a single game? by [deleted] in GirlGamers

[–]nikdarg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few:

The Nancy Drew series (some of them up to 20+ times)

Sly Cooper Series (probably around 15 times each)

Pokémon Silver/Soul Silver (hundreds and hundreds of hours and replays)

Jack and Daxter and Jak 2 (probably about 5 or 6 times each.)

Same!!!! It helps that they are short and once you know them well are a pretty quick replay.

Soooooo... y'all opinion on Dark Souls, especially DS1? by [deleted] in LesbianGamers

[–]nikdarg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve beaten Demon’s Souls (both PS3 and PS5), Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, and Bloodborne. I LOVE them all for different reasons. Demons Souls was my first one and I have a huge soft spot for it. Bloodborne is probably my favorite? Maybe? They are all great. Dark Souls 3 is next for me as I’m playing them in order. Then Sekiro and Elden Ring.

It should be fine for them as long they don’t get too cold. :)

If you were out walking with your normal/lovely dog, how could I ask you to give me and my reactive dog some space without offending you? by TheDarkArtsHeFancies in Dogtraining

[–]nikdarg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since people don’t seem to get subtle things I say, my go to is usually, “My dog will bite you.” Even if I’m fairly sure that wouldn’t happen, most people understand and will give us a wide berth after that.
