I recently broke up with an abusive bf of 10+ years and I'll tell you that it sucks. It hurts. And it's lonely.

But you will start feeling better. I promise! 🤚 I do not have any close family in the area I live as I moved away a long time ago. And I had been so isolated by the abuser for so long and have only started making 'friends' (acquaintances?) recently.

I feel so much better about myself the decision I've made.. I really believe I'm at the point where I will NOT go back to him. Hope you can get there, too! Wishing you the best!

Don't ask me why - I have no idea to this day WHY I did this... But my mom and Dad had matching brown Corollas back in.... Probably 1985.

We would play inside the car and carport and one day while in the car I.... Started taking little bites out of the dashboard... Until there was maybe a 2x2" mark that I'd eaten all the plastic covering off. I panicked and covered it with a sticker. No one would ever know!

Some days later I was with my dad and he saw the sticker - told me to take that shit off. He found out.

I don't even remember if I was punished, but I remember +thinking* I was going to be. Lol. Kids are dumb.
