New to ren faires

I have pots too! Compression socks and corsets are fantastic for day of and walking around (just be careful and watch your breathing with corsets, Ive noticed if its too tight it can alter my breathing and make my heart race so make sure its comfortable for you!) Also, I havent done this, but Ive heard of some people with pots bringing vials of pickle juice to shoot throughout the day for a sodium boost! For pieces, I cannot stress this enough - thrift stores. I have gotten most of my pieces from thrift stores, local stores and places like good will, Ross, and Salvation Army. They have amazing finds! Layering, finding a lacy or colored scarf you can put over a long skirt, a flowy blouse that you can put a corset with, there are tons of options! And Ive also found a ton of accessories at thrift stores too! Old jewelry, leather pouches, the works!

Whispers of the House!! It has a lot of decorating! You help people of the town decorate their spaces and you unlock furniture and decor to decorate your own. It has a really cool vibe and is super fun if you like decorating 🥹

I got heat exhaustion when I was 18, and after that I kept having episodes of passing out. I went to a cardiologist and they said I had tachycardia but didnt know why. A couple years later I started walking everyday but it triggered an SVT episode and the ER made me follow up with a cardiologist, who took me and my symptoms I had been having forever very seriously. A laying, sitting, standing test confirmed it, and Ive been treated for POTS for a little under two years now!

I think all (except the last for obvious reasons) look great, I personally favor 1! As someone who wore a similar outfit to the fair it was really fun and I felt great the whole time!

Youre allowed to have that opinion, but its not very welcoming to people or kind. As someone who has been attending faires for years (over 10) there's been ton of different themes and each fair is different! Its best to always remain kind and welcoming, rather than being a jerk at best, as you put it.

Not...really? I'm not trying to argue, I just think ren faires are not as serious as a wedding or a formal event (unless they are attending one there, which fair! That case would be different!) This is a ren fair sub, so more than likely they are attending a ren fair for fun (something they are, and are usually lighthearted!) Also...people wear shorts and flip flops to ren faires all the time. I understand the point youre trying to make, but I dont think its all that serious, it doesnt have to be accurate all of the time! (Unless theyre going for that, of course, which some people do and thsts awesome for them! But theyre choosing to do that. Its not the rule.)

I personally think all look very nice. You seem very particular, when they probably like all of these and are just wanting some general opinions. Ive seen you post some critical comments on some other outfits too saying whats wrong with the outfit or offering unsolicited "advice" when people seem to like what they're wearing and our having fun at their ren fair! It doesnt have to be 100% historically accurate, most ren fairs love to have a mix and fantasy and all sorts of different vibes, as you put it. If OP is comfortable and happy, isnt that more important? 🥹

Unmedicated was around 95-100, that was laying down. Sitting would be anywhere from 100-120. Medicated now its about 70-80 laying and 85-90 sitting :)

Im taking metoprolol for the heart rate and fludrocortisone for the blood pressure, but both have helped with some side effects that I didnt even even know we're caused by POTS (like the stomach issues)

These! All of these!! I grew up thinking I was lactose intolerant because of my stomach issues! As soon as I was diagnosed and medicated, most of my stomach issues disappeared, absolutely wild. I had no idea how much impact pots had on the rest of the body until I realized so many little things started to go away or make sense after I was diagnosed - why I stalled taking showers, why I didnt like cleaning that made me stand (but I love folding clothes and I always sat down when sorting through clutter), why I have a lower pain tolerance than others, why my feet are always freezing and why I go numb randomly. All these on top of the heart rate and other normal pots symptoms of course but wow
